Hoses and fittings from one manufacturer should not be mixed with those from another. You should use AN hose from the same manufacturer with AN fittings of the same size. Braided AN hoses have no direct relationship to their ID and OD because these dimensions are not directly related. Despite its name, the ID of the 6 hose is not 3/8". A tube AN size corresponds to the diameter and the size of the tube (steel or aluminum)

It is true. It has been used on black nylon braided fuel lines for the ls3 engine in my hot rod with no problems. I tried shortening the lines by disassembling the connections and was able to do this without issue.

You should only use Russell fittings when it comes to anodized aluminum

You should only use Russell fittings when it comes to anodized aluminum. On my highly modified 2017 Subaru STI, I only use Russell fittings. Fittings such as these should be the only ones considered. There's no denying that they're more expensive than most, but when you're dealing with flammable liquids and expensive toys, it's understandable. RUSSELL IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO.

This is a good set because the hose end socket has some threads (I am not sure if this was the right term to use) that make putting the hose in a whole lot There are lots of fittings that you slide on and you usually end up bunching up your nylon braid or spending a lot of time in a vise, but these actually turn the hose end socket so that it pulls the hose (and the nylon It is reverse threaded too, so when you start threading the other half of the fitting in, it keeps pulling the hose into the fitting rather than allowing it to pass through. This should be a standard feature in all fittings.

There is an air of truth about these. A seat belt from these companies is much cheaper than one purchased from Although I have purchased a lot of these now, I have found that besides the installation itself being difficult without the right tools, they seal very well and give a nice finish. These were used to replace all of the fuel lines in my Nova, and I have not noticed any leaks since I installed them.

Despite the fact that the photo shows the US made version of the hat, the made in China hat with no R stamp will be shipped. The Russell fitting I have is not even a true one. I find that to be not cool at all.

I bought all of my supplies from Russell brand. Fittings are one of their specialties, and they have a large selection to choose from. In spite of the fact that I didn't want to use lesser-quality parts for my Harley's oil system, I stuck with the originals.
