In this kit, there is only 1 needle and 1 seat. As I read the previous answer, I thought there would be two sets, but thankfully there was only one.

Putting these in my Holley 390 is a waste of time and money! In order to make my Jeep more off-road ready, I added some off-road tires The "special" needles were purchased in order to make the engine more road-worthy. Three things I just did 1. I rebuilt my engine. 2. I installed new pistons. The 8L v6 went in well and everything worked as it should have been. My car blew about half a gallon of fuel out of the exhaust and had fuel in the oil a few weeks later when I tried to start it. Then I reinstalled the needle and seat, made sure it was seated, made sure no air was passing through the carb when it was closed, and then I put the carb back on the Jeep. I had to get it out again a few weeks later. To make sure I installed these correctly, I took my carb to a buddy who builds race cars and who has built a few hundred holleys. Putting the float in place was easy. We moved it up and down a few times, and everything seemed to work out.
Use the normal valve if not off-road as it is easier to clean with all the ethanol in gas nowadays. To keep ethanol clean, use something that can be easily cleaned. Sticking seems more likely to occur with this type of valve than the Off-road vehicles must have this type of tire.
