For a Big Block Chevy (with either Edelbrock or Holly carbs), the distance for the throttle cable mount (to carb) is simply too great to make it work. As far as I know, no GM throttle cable would be long enough to span that distance between the mounting flange and the throttle cable. Ultimately, I did not get what I wanted It ended up I had to make my own (temporary use), although I did find one on my other car (Moroso) that was designed with the correct length for the throttle cable, so I will just remove that one and put a new one in.
I had to swap my Nova's 4 barrels for this part. It took some time for me to figure out how to properly use the cable brackets, but overall the install was easy.
The steel is heavy gauge, and it is made well. As my Edelbrock intake studs did not line up with the bolt holes on my Edelbrock intake, I had to grind out the holes. As the edges were razor sharp, I also filed them all around.
I like it.
Tightening the bracket screws can be a chore.
There is something I like about This is what I use on a marine engine.
I love how it looks on my engine. It will be a pleasure referring friends to you.
