Can this replacement carburator be used on a Kohler engine that has a 2405386 Keihin carb?

Although I have not tested it, it replaced a 240543 just fine. It looks as if it is designed to replace many Keihin carburetors that are "similar".

I was able to get it to work with I cleaned the other carb several times with no success in getting it to run

It was the right carb for my application. I tried the other carb several times and it wouldn't start. I found this to be both a time saver and a solution to a problem.

The carburetor runs better than before, I had to grind down the throttle linkage on it, but other than that it is great. As well as the coils, I did them.

There was a problem with the factory carb which did not adjust for low fuel mixtures. A used one that I purchased had the low fuel mixture adjustment screw. A new carburetor improves the performance of my Cub Cadet. Backfires are no longer an issue during the starting process. Has a smoother idle and runs.

Due to a number of issues caused by this original carburetor, I finally decided to replace it with a new one. I had to wait only 4 seconds to start the engine after a new carb was installed, and the engine ran like a champ! Compared to the cost of the OEM carburetor, this carb is well worth it.

It is a good replacement, although the original looks different from the new one, it appears to be an upgraded version but it works well.

Rebuilt carb after thorough cleaning and rebuilding kit did not work

Replaced old carb that still would not work. There was just too much varnish on it. I love using this new carb. It works perfectly and it costs a fraction of what the OEM carb costs. This carburetor is what I have used on all of my Stihl equipment.
