Since I've been working on diesel trucks for so many years, I have never received an "O" This is the first time a ring has failed like this. As I cleaned 2+ gallons of fresh oil off the underside of my truck, I popped the oil filter off to discover an old one still in it. Exactly two pieces in the ring! In order to break the oil filter, I dug out the fleetguard oil filter (which had never failed) and I tried breaking the oil-filter standoffs. I was amazed by the strength of the ring. Thanks to the fact that I had another oil filter, I was able to install the oil filter There is something crappy about my o- A five-gallon ring cost me more than 3 gallons of oil In addition to the 40 Rotella synthetic oil, I also added about half a few quarts of Lucas HD additive, but not including the filter that I smashed while trying to tighten and remove. When you change your filters often, you increase your chances of keeping your engine running for a very long time if you use the best filters.
StrataPore filters, like the ones I run in my Cummins Ram truck, are the ones to use if you run full synthetic oil (like I do). As synthetic oils have an extended change interval, they are more cost-effective and will keep the oil cleaner for a longer period of time. The filter will fit many types of conventional oils, and they may suffice if you are using conventional oils. However, the purpose of the filter is to enable cleaner oil for extended runs with synthetic oils. Whenever I use my Ram, I won't use anything else.

I'm glad I did too because, especially the oil, everything was a lot cheaper than what was offered by the local dealer You can find sale prices at a store. It is not uncommon for me to purchase 2 oil filters, a set of Mopar fuel filters, and 2ea 3-year fuel filtration units. The Rotella T5 gallon case is available in case quantities of one gallon. Nonetheless, it's a great saving of about $18 or so and I don't have to go searching for prices and find out that the advertised price on the internet was incorrect (or maybe that's just my town or something, who knows). However, the other thing that makes this tool great is that they recommend using the Fuel Filter Wrench to remove the water separator from the rear fuel filter There is an awesome little tool here, and the Hopkins 16-section pipe is awesome, too The Qt Drain Pan is available in two sizes. I searched high and low, but this was the most recommended oil filter for my truck. The only reason you would go somewhere else for an oil filter is stupidity.
