Questions & Answers

Is there a time frame for it? A 15k salary?

A trip of more than five miles is out of the question for me

Is this filter capable of going to the limits of OCI? In comparison to a Pure One from Purolator, how does this compare? Thanks a lot! ?

Over the past two years, I've used this filter every time I changed the oil in my Kia Optima 2012. I could not find any documentation on the specific OCI, so I just replaced the filter with a K&ampN P - The manual instructs me to perform oil changes on my vehicle at intervals of 1004 millilitres. It suggests it be renewed every 7500 miles (under normal driving), so I know it will last at least that long. Purolator Pureone is a product I am not familiar with. We sincerely apologize.

We have to add about 3 quarts each month to the 97 accord thing that uses oil. Do you think I should just drain the oil every 3000 miles instead of changing it? Why did you not change the filter?

You are correct- There is no oil change for almost a It would be a good idea to check the rings for wear using compression - Hondas using valve seals dating from the 90's have a reputation for failure. That much oil consumption can be caused by a number of factors. Every other time you change the oil, you should replace the filter

Is this engine compatible with a 2000 Honda Civic with a 16Y8 engine?

The vehicle you mentioned has a 16Y8 in a 2000 Honda Civic? I assume you have an EX model. Honda Civic EX 1 is the best car in its class. The K&ampK system would be used for the 6L L4 P - An oil filter 1004 can be found here.

The filter is great! It was important for me to find a cheap, quality headset For an engine with 130K miles - flow oil filter A fresh coat of varnish and a sludge cleanup This is it
5/5

I have a KIA Optima 2 from 2007. Four L's oil changes have not been performed at the correct intervals for the past three years The age of the child is four years old. Every time the oil was changed, we would go to a budget oil change (low quality filters and cheap dino oil), and quite a bit of varnish would build The Castrol high-performance oil filter and Castrol high-performance oil I put on 2500 miles ago A full synthetic oil called mileage EDGE. As part of the gradual cleaning process, I also added a pint of Marvel's Mystery Oil. Filter media blends) and its flow. As the filter media contains some cellulose, it traps varnish better than a full synthetic media used only for filtering. My motor noise has substantially decreased since yesterday when I added Rislone concentrated engine treatment concentrate to the oil. It will be run this way for another 2000 miles and then I'll repeat the process with new HM EDGE oil, HM Rislone engine treatment, and new K&N filters. After the engine did not use the filter for several years, the sticky varnish built up. It may take up to a year to slowly clean it. There are a few K&C's in here A mid-N filter consists of a series of elements Their price is high, but in terms of quality and overall performance, they rank with filters that cost much It's sometimes possible to get these filters for under $5 if you grab an Amazon add-on sale!.

Since I have been using K&N, I have never been disappointed
5/5

My first K&K was when I was nine years old Over the course of 20 years, I have never been let down by a filter. My wife's previous one was difficult to access, and I bought the new one for her since the old one was so inconvenient. This is not a criticism of the filter in any way. I just wished I had thought about it when purchasing it. As a result, I'm going to have the same problem reliving it later on because of the small Having known then what I know now, I would have acquired the K&M back then A hexagonal nut shape is on the bottom of the N filter. If I had done that, I could have removed the filter in the following 5000 miles with a ratchet.

Five thousand miles after installation, the ring started leaking
3/5

The oil trail left by my daughter's 2017 Hyundai as she drove to work two miles from the house covered the entire two mile journey. She saw the oil trail and panicked. When I got to her work, I checked the oil in the She lost less than one quart and a half of her milk. When I brought it home, I put it up on the lift, and it was leaking heavily from the top of the oil filter I checked the oil filter, and it was She changed the oil in February and put about 5000 miles on the oil before the leak began after I changed it. As far as I know, I have used Royal Purple only five times Since I bought the car, I've driven it 20 times. This is the first time that I have had an oil filter seal fail after not having a single drop leak for 8 months and 5000 This is very strange. From now on, only Hyundai genuine oil filters will be used.

It's best to steer clear of this After a few hundred miles of use, the filter failed
3/5

As the light came on on the engine oil pump and very little oil was left on the dipstick, the car had to be towed to the dealer. I was told by the dealer that the oil leak occurred because of a crack on the gasket on the filter. Not sure if this filter is worthwhile I've placed a warranty claim with K&N Air Conditioning and Heating Company, Inc. The filter was told that it was very old (this one was made in China), and the current filters are made in the United States. We are not sure how long these china made filters were kept in stock, but would recommend that if you buy one of these, you should have the gaskets replaced and not risk the engine being damaged by cracks. I upped my rating because K&N filters are better than china models. I was reimbursed for the cost of a new oil change (dealer) and under carriage cleanup, as well as the cost of a road test and leak check.

A PS by K&N Scion FR-1004 (fits 2013 There are 15 flutes on a filter wrench with a diameter of 80mm
5/5

I got it for $4 on Amazon. You can find good reviews on YouTube for this model. The filter arrived well packaged, shrink wrapped on the threaded end, and had no rust within, as with some cheaper To install this filter, you will need the same type of wrench that is used to install There is no need for another wrench when you have this one It falls below It falls below The Performance Tool W54111 80mm/15FL Tool is an excellent tool for work and play.

The leak occurred
3/5

The first thing I want to mention is that I have never had any problems with K&M Though they have always been performance wrench-ons, N filters now stand as the next evolution in that line-up You are viewing an offline version of this page. I got a chance to drive my Subaru WRX in the pro series. The idea was a bad one. I could not stop the leak no matter what I did. The following is a revised version of my original A retightening and a readjusting The leak began again as soon as it was installed. The performance wrench has been switched on - There are no signs of a slowdown in the off-version.

This is amazing
5/5

My assumption is that the filter was to blame, but how do you know for sure. On the other hand, I was running Mobil 1 5w 20w with a Bosch extended life filter. This filter and Mobil 1 five watts are the replacements I changed to. As far as power and gas mileage, there is a large difference between my current car and my previous car. *I am concerned about the filtration since I see that this flows better, so I will be reducing the K&N. Next time we change the oil, we'll have an open hood. It seems that there has never been a filtration complaint on the web about this filter so I feel pretty good about it. The next time I will consider the HP series for In terms of HPs, they are manufactured at a separate facility, so it will be interesting to compare them. I am at this point and time a huge fan of K&M I'm a big fan of N!.

The ones made in China have arrived! In accordance with some reviews posted here, as well as unfortunately, I received the models made in China, which, from what I can tell, have problems with leaks and seals
3/5

As the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for", which holds true in particular when you pay under $5 per unit. That's too bad. I will return the 2 other filters that I had stocked up on and I will use OEM filters from that point forth. We live in such a world!.
