Although I don't know about the 2016 model, my 2014 runs flawlessly without any computer or engine trouble, and I've taken it in for service to GM dealers and nobody has said anything to me.
You should make sure that the PCV hoses and fittings are not damaged or loose.

With the 5 in my 2015 Silverado 1500, this was picked up for it. In it, there are 3. In less than an hour, I was able to install it and because I'm not a mechanic, I felt pretty proud. As a matter of fact, the directions were truly excellent. In the following months I noticed an improvement in gas mileage of approximately 1 mile per gallon after the installation
I highly recommend buying this if you've been thinking about it. The throttle response has impressed me most.
If you've been thinking about buying this I highly recommend.
The first thing I have been wanting to do to my 2014 Silverado 5 is to add a black roof. The third level. It happened when I bought it, installed it, and noticed a 2 percent decrease in my MPG The car gets 3 miles per gallon. Yes, it's true that I'd been a little heavy on the gas to be able to hear that awesome sound when that air is being drawn into the intake, but I've relaxed my grip a bit for awhile and I've My research found that a few people had noticed the same thing, and attributed it to the fact that K&S is now a big player in the game Using oiled filters is a common practice in N. On the first few hundred miles, I felt that a portion of the oil from the filter was reaching the MAF, possibly causing the engine to burn a little more fuel to compensate for the lowered As I drove over the next few miles, my MPG went back up after I cleaned the MAF sensor with some MAF sensor cleaner. This is not a criticism of K&K Usually, when an oiled filter fails, it is due to the oil. Please just be aware that this could happen, and you may want to clean the MAF after using it for a few minutes. The machine will probably be cleaned again soon, to ensure that it is clean and in good working order. In addition to the catback exhaust, I also installed one shortly after. I love how both sound together. It's definitely worth the recommendation.
KB&G is a great product with great quality I was able to install it quickly and easily. Besides the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado LTZ 5, I installed this on my 2017 Ford Focus RS. It took an hour and a half to produce 3 liter. YouTube has a great installation video that I highly recommend you watch. The pros include An improvement in performance and throttle response has been made. The look and the sound of this is aggressive. promise that you will notice any increase in gas mileage, since you won't be able to keep your foot off the gas pedal while you hear the "GROWL" sound coming from the engine. Listen to what people say about the sound being poor with the active fuel management system on the latest Silverado models, but do not believe it. It is true that you do not hear anything the first few times you The extra HP is immediately discernible around 1500 rpm and then comes the roar that is unique to this engine. I am certain that if this were coupled with an exhaust system, the two would sound absolutely fantastic. You've found it. If you're looking for a budget friendly upgrade with a lot of positive aspects, One regret of mine is that I did not purchase it.
Those of you who have spent any time under your truck's hood know how easy it is to install. According to the instructions, the install should take 90 minutes, but I was able to complete it in about 50 minutes. You will need to bring your own tools if you want to complete the project. As the rubber seal for the air box is shipped in a general length, it needs to be trimmed to fit the box. The rest of the software is ready to go out of the box after installation. My performance has improved, but I might be seeing it as more of an emotional reaction than a real difference. Upon installing this, I paired it with Borla exhaust on my 2015 Sierra, and I really love the sound. It takes about one hour and 250 miles to reach a completely empty tank. The computer gives me 65 better MPG than I would get on a standard commute. It is really fun to hear the engine bark back between full throttle shifts if the open air box is on.
A 2018 Silverado with a 5 cylinder engine is installed. An eight-cylinder engine with a 3L displacement. There was no trouble installing the module, and the instructions were clear and concise. A slight increase in mileage On my truck, the trip computer indicated 17MPG when the truck was brand new to 8500 miles. Now the truck has rolled over 10000 miles and the trip computer displays 19MPG. The best I have seen is 24MPG over 50 miles on a 55MPH highway. It is rare that I pass a Sunday driver in my truck, but I will pass them occasionally. In the past, I noticed a flat spot when accelerating, but now it isn't there. Also, there is a noticeable difference in how the seat of the pants feels across the entire
There's an increase in sound In comparison to a similar system I had on a previously owned product, this one is more loud. When I first started using it after installation, I was surprised at how intuitive it was. I'm a big fan of the sound of a V8, and this is certainly one of the best. The bottom line is, if you want improved MPG, power as well as that sweet V8 sound, this is the way to go.
With a 6, I'm in the 6th percentile. Chevy Silverado 1500 with a 2L engine. The growl from the engine has been slightly improved. I hear slight drone coming from my exhaust now at highway speeds, but it's not too noticeable over my Borla Atak exhaust system. am hoping that this will go away over time, since the gas mileage has increased by two to three mpg.
I am very happy with it. It makes my Magna Flow exhaust sound terrific. Never in my life have I been mistaken for a gear head, but I installed it without much difficulty. My experience with following along with the video was more efficient than following the instructions alone. There's a problem I had with the plastic PC Valve Hose Fittings on the sides of the air intake - they're just too easy to cross thread. Even though they warn of this, I assumed the thread should be flush with the pipe, and I ripped it simply trying to hand tighten it. It worked better in the end after I found some brass fittings at Ace Hardware that were compatible. was reasonably surprised at how little of a difference there is as far as sound goes, but overall I am satisfied.
Just remember When you buy a new exhaust system, it will require some modifications. In the picture above, you can see how easy it is to break the NPT valve. I kept turning it but the lock didn't seem tight enough so I kept turning and My phone was ringing so I called K&S I asked for an overnight delivery from customer service and they delivered one for free. As early as 9AM the next morning, it arrived and I could get back to work. I am not thrilled with the quality of the plastic, but the customer service made it up. This is a great recommendation!.
