Initially it would only stretch to fit the 6" part of the filter, then it would stretch further to fit over the 8" part of it.

I love the way this fits my filter and brings new life to it. The filter must be replaced every few months, which is much more expensive.

This product works perfectly. I placed it over the filter that I also bought from Amazon. Because the last one had so many bugs, garbage, and other debris, it was impossible to get it clean. I had to order a new filter. The filter and cover have been in my possession for some time, and I pulled the cover off to see the filter, and I was surprised to find no debris. There is nothing worn out about the filter at all. In my case, I rinsed the pre-mix Put back on the filter and let it dry for a few minutes. If I tried, I wouldn't be able to complain.
