There are thick boots on either end of the plug wire, so I wonder how this heat shield sleeve could pass through either one of the boots. ?

You can either assemble the plug wire after you put on the heat shield, or get a heat shield of a large enough diameter to go over the boot.

Does it work for plug wires as well?

The makers of that stuff make it just for that use! However, both of these products fade badly in the sun! Plug wire covers or shields can also be found on Amazon

This shielding is of the very highest quality! My V8 swapped Ford Ranger used this heat sleeve, and it has taken a lot of abuse and lasted for nearly 2 years! From me, there is nothing to complain about! I recommend this heat sleeve to anyone who needs to protect hard lines, hoses, or wires from heat emanating from the engine, exhaust, or other sources

In reality, what I am trying to do here is protect my. I'm very happy with the results. The purpose of this is actually to protect lightbulb wires from mice that live nearby. I bought this product to protect my new wires after they chewed up my wires before I purchased the last set. These are perfect for the mice, who don't like to chew on them!.

When you order this product the wires look great and if you make your own wires will work perfectly otherwise make sure the end of the wire has a straight boot because you'll be pulling it off carefully. Use a little electric Greece to make it easier to attach the boot.

It amazed everyone at the race track what kind of heat shield that was. In addition to looking great, it appears to be working perfectly. It would be great if it came with more heat shrink, but for what you get, and at this price, it is excellent.

It is an excellent product that protects wiring and other heat-sensitive items under the hood from the intense heat generated by a running engine. I have tried several sizes for hoses, pipes, and wiring and they have all met As well as looking good, it sounds good.

I would call it more like 5/16, but it does work in general, but it is not well designed

thought it was the inside diameter of the 7/16, but it appears to be the measurement of the flat portion. Despite the fact that it states 5/16 to 7/16 on the package, the product website lists This has more of a 5/16 size, but it is still okay, but not the way I had.

There is ample material, and they were kind enough to include heat shrink tubes as well. On my supermoto and mini bikes, I use it for some of the wires in tight spaces.
