What sets this apart from part number 18874 from Walker? It's for a 98 Civic DX sedan, and I'm looking for a direct, long-lasting replacement.?

Walker produces two types of exhaust systems. The SoundFX (18874) line is the more affordable option, while the Quietflow (47724) line is the more upscale option, both with a limited lifetime warranty. It looks like it's made of stainless steel. It's worth noting that you'll need the flex-tools to use either of these. Because these don't have the threaded casting on the muffler end like Honda's OEM part, you'll need a spring bolt kit to attach the muffler. You'll also need to transfer the heat shield from the OEM part (which keeps heat away from the shift linkage pieces in the tunnel), and one of the brackets on mine was welded to the pipe-- It was worth the trouble because I saved about $300, and the fit was perfect.

No, they'll have to be ordered along with the gasket.

Despite the fact that this part would have fit my Honda, I decided against installing it. Walker does not include a bracket for attaching the heat shield between the pipe and the shift linkage, which is welded to the OEM pipe, and the resonator section is 2 to 3 inches shorter (and thus likely louder) than OEM. At the muffler attachment point, Honda uses a threaded casting to receive the flex-fit muffler. This part is a simple steel stamping that needs to be nutted separately. washers, which will almost certainly make the connection less stable. Furthermore, while the seller would accept a return, the return shipping would have to go all the way across the country to Pennsylvania, which would cost more than the purchase price plus shipping. Overall, this was a very difficult purchase. I'll just have them repair my OEM unit because I'd need a welding shop to properly install this one.

A new pipe rattles in the background. Something is wrong with the resonator, and it's making a terrible noise. Autoplicity, the seller, was of no assistance in this matter. This product, as well as Autoplicity, should be avoided.

There are a lot of stickers that need to be taken off. This was delivered to me in a timely manner. With standard shipping, you will receive your order within 24 hours. It makes me happy. There are a lot of stickers that need to be taken off. I spent more time removing all of the stickers than I did installing the pipes. For a day or two, the sticker residue will burn off, leaving a strange odor behind. Leaks are not a problem. Product of high quality.
