Due to the fact that I have no leaks after 500 miles, the rope seal must have been installed correctly. Due to the closed screw ports on the oil pump cover, which is not open like the original cover, I had to purchase new (shorter) oil pump screws. The situation is not that serious. As far as I can tell, the cover is working well. It is important to mention that I do not race. I cruise.

This is now installed on the newly rebuilt Buick 430. In the center of the cover, the distributor sits in an area that is too tall. No oil pump shaft connection between the main shaft and the oil pump. There is no pressure left in the oil. The pump can be primed manually with the priming tool and the drill works perfectly. It's a waste of time and money.

This was a custom order for a customer's 1976 The original looked a little different from the replica, but it fits perfectly. As a result of the new not having the dummy holes cast into it, it works perfectly.
