I think the product is good for the money, but I wish it had bolts. As a 6-year-old, I am a bit shy The bolt holes on the pointer bracket and the 3/4" balancer line up before the bracket contacts the balancer. It would have been easier for me to resize the pointer bracket after trimming the edge that touched the balancer I tried to drill and tap holes for the adjustable pointer, but it was too much work. As far as I can tell, Moroso had a bad run of production on this timing pointer, as I see other reviews saying they used it perfectly in other cases.
A fast and easy installation process. This is a very nice video. As opposed to some other reviewers, I did not encounter any fitment issues. A Chevy 350 fitted with a stock timing cover and a Scat 6 was modified to take advantage of this product Balancing three-fourths of an inch. There is no question about the accuracy and legibility of the pointer.
purchase it with a timing chain cover that is aluminum or thicker than the standard steel cover, you will have to grind it to make it fit correctly and work. Although it took me a few minutes to grind down to the correct fit, it did not cover the timing degree numbers on my balancer* * * * BUT it is a damn good addition none the less.
I had to grind the bottom of the pointer so it wouldn't run the harmonic balancer by means of a flapper disk. There was an error of 2 degrees in the timing pointer, but since it can be adjusted. My friends have also recommended this particular one to me, and all of them have purchased it and have not had any complaints so far.
The 75in balancer is in stock.
It was an excellent fit for me.
It is easy for you to see Porter.
