I'm Kaan and thanks for stopping by In my opinion, it would be appropriate. The spring may have to be reused or it may not have to be. The pricing is quite small, so it makes sense to give it a shot. In a repair shop, this repair can be quite pricey, but you always have the option of returning it if it doesn't work out. I hope this helps & I wish you the best of
A repair kit for the shifter is included in this kit
Depending on what your spring is like, you might have to reuse it.

The Volvo V70 shifter is flopping around like a fish, and this is what you need to fix it. While there is a small amount of technical work involved in the repair, it is not very complicated. You should just find videos or instructions showing how someone disassembled the shifter box down to its most basic components. You can then use a blow dryer to soften the plastic and pop the top off the box using a butter knife. Use the same knife to pop out the grommet holding the old one in place (which will be broken), and then stick this one in the same place. Take apart. Reassemble.
It took me all of an hour, maybe an hour and a half, to do this, I've never done it before. Compare to the thousands the dealer was asking for to replace the whole thing.
I was very pleased with the result. There was a problem with the manual shifting on my 2003 Volvo S60 Awd. While shifting, the vehicle would just flopping around. It was this that caused a little tricky to take it apart to get to it, but there is a good YouTube video on how to do It does take some patience to put it together lol I recall I re-used a few parts that didn't break and just replaced the damaged ones. Goodluck but it does work once it is.
It did not appear to be for the 2007 XC90 so I was a little hesitant to purchase it, but I did As far as I can tell, those are the same plastic pieces used to construct the claw and pin. As you mentioned, you need to recycle the spring that goes into the shifter housing because the one that comes with this kit doesn't fit An image of the spring that needs to be recycled is included here.
This is an easy 5-T fix. For various Volvo models, there are two variations of this part. If you order the wrong one, you will be disappointed. It is NOT necessary to disassemble the console to replace this part you need only to take out the cover plate, leather boot, and It's hard to find videos of the process on YouTube. If not for the video, I would never have been able to figure out how to remove the cover from the box. Once that was done, it was very simple to replace the claw. Make sure that your springs are properly oriented and positioned. If we had to get it fixed, the dealership would have charged a pretty penny.
Having shopped around and compared prices, I found that Volvoparts would have been $1 less for this part, but would have charged more in shipping, so I went here on Amazon. I received the part very quickly, and it fit my model of vehicle without any problems. Once you know what you are doing, it takes about 30 minutes to fix, but it took me 2 hours to figure out how to remove 2 hidden bolts. The whole thing came out easily, and it could be replaced right away. I thought the quality of the product was great and shipping was also fast. I would buy this product Item 2 on the XC70.
Part number is Shifter seemed loose and sometimes would slip from geartronic mode to gearhead A lengthy work process is required to replace the gear shifter springs and rocker arm. I firmly believe that it increased the smoothness of shift levers and eliminated errant gear selections. You need to use the right part/s for your By the way, there are many videos on you tube on how to install or repair.
I installed the part very easily, and the parts are perfect, and now everything works as it should. It took me three days to complete the job The time it takes to finish is five hours.
I used it in my Volvo XC90 with a V8 in 2006. It worked perfectly.
