This tool should be in the toolbox of any engine builder
They are each sold separately

Questions & Answers

Is this likely to work on an LS connecting rod where the bolt comes out the whole way. It's more than just a nut when the stud is in the rod, right?

There are two plastic (derlin) inserts that are 3/8 inches in diameter included with the tool. If you use this tool on an LS rod, you should have no trouble.

The Chevy small block V8 is compatible with this product
5/5

We used it to remove a piston from a 1992 LT1 V8 and it was easy to safely loosen the rod bearing cap and then remove the piston. Exactly what I needed! There is no need for a hammer. Tap it with your hand. The cost was well worth it.

It saves time and is accurate

The item does what it needs to do. Pistons were helpful when I put them in my Grand Vitara V6. My engine was fitted myself, and I all but saved myself a considerable amount of time and a lot of frustration. The bearing was secured to the rod, and everything was ready to align the piston and.
