A 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ 6cly had this installed. The process was not terrible, I got it done on my own. In addition to following the provided instructions, I did a few extra things as well. Check out the rest of the article. My first bolt removal was a 1" beam, so the fan shroud bolts were already removed. I also fastened the two bolts under the skid plate. If you loosen the bolts go into the engine, make sure they are the first ones to be removed. It is definitely not enough to lose a few turns and eliminate them. After completing the steps on the driver's side, proceed to the passenger's side. To get the cross bolt in, I had to jack up the engine from the bell housing and bounce on the front of the jeep to keep it By inserting a long 12mm Allen key through the opposite side from where the cross bolt was to be inserted, I was able to align everything I needed to get the bolt to Make sure all of the drivers are running before starting them. You should loosen the bolts that mount to the engine block again and then follow the I carefully positioned the mount and bracket on the driver's side once I had the height set with the lift. I then manually pushed and lifted the engine by the mount to line up the mounting bracket and mount. It took only a little bit more to put in the cross bolt. Be sure to tighten every single bolt. You can now find torque specifications online.
The initial installation will take longest if you are a first time user, but these components are quality and it is a straight forward process.
Because it does exactly what it is supposed to do, this product gets five stars. You are supposed to raise your engine number 1. A brick of aluminum with 2 holes and longer bolts and extensions constitutes the product as a whole. We installed the system for about 2 hours, depending on how fast my son was. In the case of a TJ with air conditioning, the best advice that I can give is to remove the engine mount and then when installing the engine, reconnect the mount When installing, reinstall the main bolt opposite the way it was removed so you won't have to remove the whole mount down the road.
The solution consists of a piece of aluminum and a few bolts, but it works. On mine, I didn't have to cut the bolts, but on others, you might need to do so.
This is a good product, but it is quite pricey given how simple it is. Instead of starting with 1" raised poly mounts, I should have just bought them.
After I lifted my truck by 3 inches, I fixed my driveline vibrations.
I found it very useful.
