As long as the part is still, it stays in fine, however, tape would definitely be most helpful for a drive that long.
The answer is yes, I hope. In exchange, I got a T300 power glide transmission and a Th 400 transmission.
I believe that it may also be suitable for other applications. It fits the tail shaft shaft of a Muncie (GM) manual transmission (from the mid-60's to the early 80's, maybe later as well). It might be possible to help with that by someone else.
I am not sure 904 torqueflite is one. The tool tappers up on 558 but not 559

As I would be receiving the custom driveshaft a few weeks after I purchased it and wanted to start my LS2 Rx7 motor right away, I purchased this so that I could plug the tails of my T56 transmission and start my engine ahead of time. On the Internet, I wasn't able to find a lot of information on whether this plug would work. This is true, however. As soon as I finished fixing it, I added duct tape and zip ties and started the car a few times. There wasn't a drop of liquid on the floor.
A rear axle swap with some driveline work had to be performed, and the trans needed to be closed so fluid would not leak. Sealing it up perfectly was this step.
The plug fit my 2wd 4L80e transmission perfectly and I searched a bit to make sure it would fit, but it did!.
It allows fluid to flow and dust to stay.
It worked perfectly on the Mustang T5.
The 92 5 had it and I used it. A T5 with a 0 mustang is available. I liked it very much. There wasn't a drop of spilled liquid.
I knew I needed a plug like this for my Muncie M21, 4-prong I liked the speed and the functionality. This seal's tapered ends made it a great purchase because the rear seal fitted snugly over the end.
