The 14” rear axle on my 2005 Silverado worked with these. This is a soft &amp smooth leather The two heads I took out were slightly longer than the stock ones I took out, so I twisted them off.
There are different types of rear ends for different trucks. That would be my answer. My Tahoe has a 10-bolt cover, so both the bolt diameter and thread pitch will be the same. The 12 bolt cover should be able to be covered with this kit
On my 2008 Silverado half ton, I bought them for the diff cover and they were not the right ones. They looked like SAE to me.

Bolts such as these are not meant to be used with the 10 bolt differential rear end of the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. I did not only have to use an impact wrench to remove the old bolts, but, along with the differential cover and a gasket, which were the right ones, I assumed that the bolts would be the same since they were Sae thread and mine were metric thread. When I started installing all the bolts by hand I realized I had snapped off two of the heads. I checked the old bolts with round off heads and I couldn't find these extra bolts anymore. I filled the gear oil in and the engine isn't leaking for now. It was not necessary for this product to be sold with the Doorman cover.
M8X1 is the proper size for my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4. Bolts of 25 x 20 mm size. A 5/16-inch bolt is used here The 18x scale. There is a problem with the 750 SAE thread. If you twist the heads at 30 feet, they will split in half The amount of torque is lbs.
Unfortunately, after about eight bolts, one broke It's not leaking and I made sure they were all tightened to specs with a torque wrench! I have one bolt missing from the diff cover, but the gasket sealer I purchased from an auto parts store did its job!.
A 2007 Tahoe differential cover is claimed to be compatible with these bolts. This is not the case. There is a taper on the stock bolts. This is not the case. The tubes fit into the holes until about 3/4 of the way in. Buying them is not a good idea if you use these types of applications. Unless you keep them tight, they will snap off or your cover might.
If I had checked reviews ad spoken up when taking out the old bolts, I would have saved a lot of time. A piece of the head of one broke, and I have to fix the hole by drilling it out and retaping it. An extremely frustrating experience. The differential cover and gasket were recommended for purchase, but I am not sure why.
I would not recommend using this part. As soon as the bolt was tightened, it snapped off cleanly. Another part of the bolt has now become stuck inside my rear end and I can't get it I don't feel comfortable using any more of this product due to its insufficiency in both durability and efficiency. It is being returned and I would not purchase it.
NEITHER BUY THEM NOR USE THEM! It is misleading. I can use it on my '08 Chevy Silverado since it says it is approved. That's not right! One of them sheered off at 15 ft- I tried installing it again and another one sheered off at 20 About 5 lb. I have eight of them. M8 or M10 bolts secure the rear differential cover of the 5" differential Approximately 25mm thick. Make sure you are careful when buying.
In addition to being too long, the bolts do not fit the Tahoe for which they are advertised. For some reason, I was lazy and added a few stainless washers to shim it out so the cover would tighten.
