The block of L98 is too short

There is no way to fit a stock intake manifold on an L98 engine, because the bolts are too short. However, I have decided to use it anyway since the Amazon and the manufacturer claim that they are compatible. Not at all. The bolts were stripped on four of them. The original hex bolts work just fine in place of those, so I guess I can avoid purchasing the helicoil kit. That's not a good sign.
