Good quality appears to be the case. However, I have not yet installed it.
As a result, I did not need to use the block heater, but instead the wire. My heater was not compatible with There is a limitation of 9 cummins) though the specs indicate I connected the wiring to a factory block heater without wire on the truck so that worked out well for me.
When I installed this engine block heater, it did not warm up the block as it should have, my wait to start engine light still came on and last time I checked it, it didn't matter what the weather was 15 degrees.
The 2004 model fits my car. It warms the block quickly and is perfect for a 5 Dodge Cummins.
