I recommend reading my review before purchasing! In an envelope covered in bubble wrap, the part was delivered. Because the part could have been easily damaged during shipping, I checked it for cracks. Because this part is made from plastic injection molding, I decided that I should inspect the inside of it as well. That was a good thing to do because as you can see in the photo, half of the large inlet tube is blocked by waste There will be less flow of antifreeze, which will pose a threat to the engine because of pressure build-up and possible hose blowouts. Then there is the possibility that this plastic will break and get lodged in my engine or radiator if it breaks. A small tube off the tee also has some extra plastic at the bottom. I can't even begin to describe how awful this is. There must be some way for this to have made it past Quality Control. Please do not buy this Dorman product due to the possibility of damage to It is worth attempting to remove the excess plastic because my current part (despite still functioning) has a hairline crack where the smaller tube y-ends to the larger and I urgently need to run my vehicle. If there are any problems, I will note them after the installation. Unless you are replacing an old hose, I wouldn't recommend installing a new hose that comes with it. If you decide to replace the hose, make sure you have antifreeze on hand. It could cost you just a little if you replaced the coupling with another plastic one. If you are disconnecting and replacing the hose tee, be sure to clamp the hoses to stop the flow. I hope Dorman will address this problem as soon as possible and will send me a quality replacement and stop the issue from reoccurring in the future.
The right part was shipped quickly and is a.
The entire trash is in the bin. put this in and it lasted 11k miles before snapping in half, leaving me stranded on the side of Buying junk Chinese Dorman products is a bad idea.
In this case, I needed only the plastic piece, but I installed the whole thing since my car has more than 195k miles In the "Y" piece, the part numbers are the correct ones for the hose. It has a thinner wall than the original hose.
Fit and finish on the Jetta were excellent.
A completely broken piece of plastic led to a vehicle overheat. About 6 months have passed since the first part of the project.
The product is fantastic.
