There shouldn't be any problems with this. The heater has been plugged in all night since I have been using it for a couple winters. Temperature is supposed to be controlled by a thermostat so the heater never overheats. There is a removable style plug on the cord that lets you thread wire through the firewall or other opening, if desired. The cord is approximately six feet long. The AC cord I have on my truck is cut and soldered into the power run through the truck. Most people, however, would likely fish it out and leave the plug hanging out someplace where an extension cord can reach it.
By using the heater, you can get into the vehicle by using 120 VAC to warm it up. As for mine, I have never used it- Safety was of primary concern to him.

It took some cutting and reattachment of 110V cable ends. Little heater that works well. I haven't run it for very long but it keeps the chill away when you run it on a timer for four minutes You should wait five hours before you drive. There is only one piece present (i. e. ) cord is not a good design because it cannot be routed through firewalls. In order to make the wiring easier, I cut the cord ends and reattached them to allow easier routing. I can unplug it in the summer to avoid wear and tear while it is not in use. It is a small size, so it's easy to install. It's made in China, but I'm pi**ed off. It will be interesting to see how this one lasts, but I would have liked to see N, considering the price. Comparison of price and If I were paying less for a product of this quality, I would expect to pay a lot less. After I plugged it in, I heard a pop and a spark. I sent it back and it was replaced without any Customer service that is good.
