When the first signs of below-zero winter weather appear, Facon's Heater Pads provide consistent & efficient protection from the cold. The heated pads on this site are designed and engineered to heat fluids on metal surfaces such as engine oil pans, fuel tanks, reservoirs, transmission pans, etc. The heater continuously generates heat to keep engine oil thin, allowing you to immediately lubricate your engine when you start it.

If you wish to ensure perfect engine oil temperature, make sure you plug into 120V AC power 10 or 30 minutes before starting your vehicle. The device will heat oil quickly for those cold morning starts. 190°F ( + or - 10 degrees) is the temperature set for the built-in thermostat to turn off. Make sure your car is unplugged before you leave

(Specification) Size 5 1/4" x 4 1/4". This car heater comes with a waterproof high heat transfer pad with 120V AC, 150Watt, and a 72-inch (183cm) multi-prong power cord. Silicone is used as a coating to make it resistant to oils, acids, as well as adding strength and durability

The pad is easy to install after cleaning the surface, peeling off the paper backing, and then adhesively attaching it to any metal. The included weatherproof silicone sealer should be used to seal the edges. Ensure that heater is completely dry before attempting to use it. Keeping weather elements, dirt, and debris off the adhesive surface is made possible by the silicone sealer.

The solution works! I had intended to use this on my truck, but in fact it was on an external tankless water heater

By having this device, I can prevent the water heater from freezing and burst when the temperature drops. In combination with a solid protective wrap of fiberglass insulation, I am very satisfied with this product and would recommend it without reservation.

The oil pan heater on my old tractor works very well

I like how easy it is to install and that it adheres This is what I installed on my Ford The first thing I did was heat it up for about 10 seconds so it would bend to the side of my oil pan and it stuck perfectly. As soon as it fully bonded, I put a block of wood over it to hold it in place. It now works flawlessly. I have only used it a couple of times but it gets very hot very quickly.

It quickly made starting my VW jetta tdi oil pan possible, as I was having trouble starting the car due to a dead battery! My car started in about a minute after installing this. Granted, it does not get the engine hot or anything, but it keeps it above ambient well enough for it to start in about a minute. I haven't been this low yet, but 30*F is the lowest I have ever been. As a side benefit, it keeps the engine bay a little warmer so your battery will not freeze. that there aren't other pads out there that heat better, but this one does what it's supposed to do. I was a little disappointed that I did not receive the silicon as seen in the pictures because it would have given me a little more confidence in the stick of the pad, but so far even when I rubbed it through dirt and water it stuck to itself by itself.

A cheap and reliable solution

I have installed it on my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5 and so far it has worked perfectly. Only thing I would change would be the plug cable could be 2 ft longer, but other than that it works great and is simple.

This is a misleading description

The product is described as a "battery" heater pad, but the instructions specifically state that it should only be used on metal surfaces! What kind of car battery is made of metal?.
