This site's dimensions are different than those on the Spal website. Here it says 18'' while on the Spal website it says 24''. The size of this post is 5 x 17 inches If on the Sp, it measures 3 x 3 inches, why is it so large on the 3?

That might be the box size, but Spal has the actual measurements and mounting information on their web site, just click on the technical specifications tab

Do you know how many amps it consumes?

The AMP rating is 5

Cheaper options can't compete with this
5/5

This is a great investment! I am super thrilled to have them as I installed a set of cheap 80w fans that were claimed to pull 1400 cfm in my car last year. The previous year, they had received very good reviews, but a subsequent analysis showed that the reviewers did not use them as intended. It turned out that the 80w fans were insufficient to keep the car cool in traffic on a 90* day even with the A/C on. These fans are the ones that I use now and haven't looked back since I switched to them this year! Motors on these fans are much stronger than on the cheap types, which pull in a ton of air. The A/C doesn't slow them down! I've used them with the air conditioning on and they have worked well. The difference between the two is night and day! Here are some pictures showing how these compare with the 80w fan I bought last year of the same size. In order to draw 1000 cfm through a radiator, Spal advises that you need to draw 10 amps. I believe if that is true, then I can understand why I have been so successful with these! Additionally, the 80w fans would likely only operate at 666 cfm each, a result of their low power.

This Italian automotive fan is made to the highest of standards
5/5

You can move a lot of air with this fan! Powered by 12V DC, this is a small hurricane. In spite of moving a large amount of air, the house fan is not very noisy and the electric motor does not get very It is used in stationary applications where an extended period of continuous operation at full speed is expected - I operate it 24/7 in this application. In the vehicle, this fan would have been exposed to much greater stresses, and it continues to run without a hitch. This is a rock solid piece of work!.

You can't buy anything else than these electric fans! having to pull out a large block that we’d all have to wait till it cooled down on its own
5/5

A powerhouse compared to all other fans like it on the market today. I cooled my 67 LeMans engine using two of these from 220 to 230 degrees using two of these There was a drop from 230 to just over She will no longer need to stop every 10 minutes to cool off!.

I pulled the cables out of the box but have not yet installed them
5/5

The boxes have not been installed, but I pulled them from their packaging and powered them up to verify they work as intended. There is a lot of air coming out of them! While running it, there does not seem to be a significant increase in noise depending on the size and how you held the device. Bastards from Torquey Mountain. When I turned it on, it almost flipped out of my hand. I love this.

I found it to be more than adequate for Having this fan in my 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 was exactly what I wanted
5/5

As opposed to the stock fan, I had replaced it with a cheaper one A year or two before buying this fan, I bought a more expensive model. A few months after it was purchased, the cheap fan developed bearing issues. This fan has been running smoothly for most of this winter. It has properly cooled and sounds a great deal better than the other one. If you have the stock power adapter off of your factory fan, you will have to mount it to this one so that it will be suitable for the application and possibly others. So don't just throw it away!.

I am a huge fan of yours
5/5

With this fan, you will be able to push a lot of air and Despite its compact size, the product description says it does not come with mounting hardware. This is not true for my version. The fan was easy to install.
