It's ideal for adapting to various hose sizes on a car

To troubleshoot EGR P0401 on my 1996 Camry, I used this adapter and a Harbor Freight 63391 brake bleeder/vacuum pump kit. Because the vacuum pump's hose and connections are larger than the car's vacuum hoses, an adapter was required. This was a great find at AutoZone. br>br>If you want to measure vacuum, the vacuum pump can also be used to pull a vacuum to test the EGR valve and vacuum modulator diaphragms and operation, or to see if a vacuum connection is plugged.
