The answer is unknown. I had to replace it because it would not fit my 2013 ram and 2018 ram. In both cases, 2500 was used
This is a very good movie. I bought one for my husband to use in the Ram 3500 he has
It's correct, on my 2021 Ram I have a DEF cap that fits perfectly, but the diesel cap won't stay intact. I live on a rural gravel road, so it simply As long as the DEF cap did not fit so well, then I would have returned the pair. If the magnet wasn't there, then it would have been lost.

Neither stays on the filler neck nor on the filler area. The fuel cap falls to the ground every time I open my fuel door. Filler does not seal off or remain in place after the product is applied. Thankfully, the DEF cap stays on (since it is screwed on, rather than pushed on<extra_id_17> Fits design of the fuel cap), however, it's so much bigger that it is Despite the fact that they are both made of aluminum, and the machining seems decent, neither does exactly what they are meant to do.
Since I wrote this review, it has been nearly a year since I purchased this cap. It was my dream truck's time, so I wanted something to keep it clean and protect it from the diesel. The design overall is appealing to me and I think it would make for The short version is that it isn't. As far as the design on the outside goes, it looks nice, but the grip is awful. You have a very difficult time grasping and twisting if your hands are even slightly wet. A knurled surface is preferable to a scalloped one. is off just a bit as well, since there seems to be at least half an inch of "lock" section where you can twist into, but I am unable to turn it more than about one eighth of an inch. The pressure fits but it never feels like it locks, it just feels like it fits, does not inspire Upon screwing it into place, the flat bottom of the cap presses down on the filler plate of the fuel neck. Although I am unsure if this is an issue or not, upon my first fuel filter change, I noticed that my first filter had quite a bit of black on it, which leads me to believe that there were contaminates within the fuel pipe. And the last thing to note is that the cap is made of the softest aluminum. In the process of gassing up, I accidentally hit it, knocking it to the ground since it was magnetically attached to the fuel door. I had no trouble pulling it off a point, but beyond that, I can hear it shaking on the inside. The magnet was quite light, so it didn't take much to pull it off, but it is now shaking a lot. This design is so incredibly simple and yet so far from perfect for the amount of money spent. It's incredible how far it falls short when it comes to its simplicity and cost. In my honest opinion, I would rather lose the fuel cap than have it installed.
I filled out my first prescription in the morning The cap fell straight to the ground when I tried to stick it to the exposed steel on the fuel door. There were severe dents on the aluminum because of this fall. It fell again when I picked it up and tried again. I can't use the magnet because it's too weak. You cannot stick the cap to the side of the bed under any circumstances the weight will pull it off, causing the cap to slide down or to.
In spite of fitting in between the ribs, the cap does not turn ahead in it even slightly, and it is supposed to look like it's the base of it, so it simply sways about inside. Unless it is used to secure bed rails to the bed during fueling, magnets serve little purpose. Are you able to keep dirt out with it? It's kind of like that. Do you need a tight fit in order to prevent dust and spray It is not. Does it match what I paid for it? Of course.
I find this fuel cap to be wonderful. After the fuel is pumped into the tank, it is easy to remove and reinstall. Any fuel attendant can clearly identify this receptacle as a diesel container by the bright green color.
I bought this for my Ram 3500 and it fits perfectly. After many months of use, it still looks great. My only reason for giving it four stars is that it does not work with the magnet.
There is an o ring seal on the bottom of the tank that prevents debris from entering. It's odd to turn the knob that far, but it should keep debris from entering. In response to another poster who mentioned this The spring-loaded flapper valve is slightly pushed down and held open while it is pushed down. Magnetically, the cap is held to the fuel door by this magnet without having to force it.
It is the only time in my life that I have ever seen such an afterthought as Ram did with our gas caps on our Therefore, this truck cap looks nice, is easy to install, and it could have come with the vehicle. A 2021 2500 Limited Mega Cab is in my possession. It is pricey for a fuel cap, so I gave it a rating of 4 out of 5. The metal and magnet appear to be the cause of complaints by others. You always get what you pay for, according to me. It is impossible to buy a cheap cap and have it be perfect. Life doesn't work that way.
