Product Description

With the Barbara breakaway system, with an 'ABCD' battery charger for one to three axle trailers, with electric brakes, trailers can be safely and securely stopped whenever they are separated from the towing

This system includes a 12V DC, 5 Amp/h sealed lead acid battery, an 'ABCD' battery charger, a weather/corrosion resistant case to protect the battery and charger, and a weather-resistant, heavy-duty polymer battery storage container.

A Breakaway switch consists of a weldable tab with a 48 inch cable and nylon pin assembly, as well as 7 screws. The breakaway system is only to be used in emergency situations 5 inch wire leads need to be connected to the electrical system

5 x 4 inches is the size of the battery box. The 5085115 Post Mount Bracket is 125 inches x 4 inches and designed for surface mounting. It can also be used for round tube jack mounting for post mounting, use the 5085115 Surface

The trailer battery will not be drained, but it does drain the engine.

- Locks onto the existing Tekonsha breakaway box mount for the 312 battery box The software is independent of hardware. The short leads from the breakaway switch are the only negatives. My other installation had a lead of about 3' in length. A length of about 12 inches (about 1'). There are no mounting screws included It is only reasonable at such an affordable price point. The battery, box, charging harness, switch, and cable all came with it.
