That was exactly what I needed! There is no modification needed to the 2004 Yamaha Bruin 350. The true degree of how bad your brakes are isn't apparent until you replace them with quality ones. There is a world of difference between the two. As a side On anything that will be immersed in water or mud, drum brakes are an idiotic design decision. Whenever you are standing on your trailer, you should only use your rear drum brake as a parking brake. You should also try to avoid leaving the brake on the machine for long periods of time. There is no way you will be satisfied.
These brakes are the best I've ever used should have ordered two so I had a back-up.
