Questions & Answers

Any details about the diameter of the probe just near the tip of the tip ?

Item Dimensions are 2 inches by 2 inches. Thanks a lot, Bob. A 5 x 2 is an even number. I am not sure what you need Bob I usually do not give dimensions like that. If you tell me what you are trying to fit it with, I may be able to serve you better, unless you have already discovered a solution.

A cylinder with a diameter of 2 cm and a width of 2 cm is available. ?

It has a resistance of about 1800 ohms, and the dimensions are correct.

Is it a good fit for the ranger 2001?

The part I needed for my Ranger XLT 2000 3 was the correct replacement. The engine was perfectly legitimate with a 6 cylinder rear wheel drive. Turns out the original was fine. The new one was installed regardless.

A 2000 Ford F-150 is currently in my possession Can you tell me how many sensors I have to buy for a 250 XLT?

On the differential, there is only one sensor. For the DTC trouble code to be cleared, you will have to drive your truck around a block.

The ABS sensor for a 1996 Dodge Ram
4/5

Replacement of 1996 Dodge Ram rear wheel ABS sensor mounted to the housing of the rear axle. As well as rebuilding the sensor, I had to rebuild the 4 foot wiring harness that connected to it. As it fatigued and broke several times, it was in poor shape. Across pins 13 and 14, which connect to the ABS module on the center of the dashboard, you can measure the resistance between these sensors and the ABS module. You should have a resistance of 1K to 2K across those pins. This resistor has a resistance of 5K. To make sure that the resistance on the sensor is between 1K and 2, it's a good idea to measure it before mounting it. About five thousand. Based on the 1996-2000 period By grounding a pin on the OBDII connector on your 1997 and possibly later Dodge Ram, you can get the ABS dash light to give you a flash code indicating the type of failure. There was a code 9 in my flash code. I'm gonna wear my pigtail tomorrow The silicone wire should be a gauge of 18 or above Sleeving braided in the form of a spiral.

I have a 1999 F 250 super duty with more than 200 miles on it
5/5

The ABS light was on in a 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty with over 200,000 miles, and then the speedometer stopped The part that caused the engine light to come on, installed in 30 minutes yesterday and all issues fixed, inexpensive part that seems to do the job, with the age of my truck I hate spending more than necessary on parts, I have found that parts from Dorman and other cheaper.

It's a bad start straight out of the box
3/5

Despite the installation of the sensor, it failed to resolve the original issue. The same has been stated by some previous purchasers. There's no getting around it. It's the old adage "you get what you pay for. ". Would have been wise to spend a little more and purchase the part from Ford since, although it is probably covered by warranty, returning it would cost more than I would get refunded.

The name Dorman is the right one
5/5

The only disappointment I've ever experienced was a broken promise. This part is installed in a rear axle punkin on my 2000 Ford F-250 The SuperDuty 7 350 is the largest truck in its class. The diesel engine produces 3 horsepower. After researching on YouTube, I concluded that the ABS light was caused by the rear sensor, rather than the L or R front wheel sensors. The rear sensor went out the most often it was also the easiest and cheapest to replace. After replacing the rear sensor, my ABS lights were off. I was able to have an exact fit and probably saved myself $150 over the dealer's.

The stuff is good
5/5

This solved a problem that I had with the brake light coming on at odd times in my 1994 F250. It took me about three minutes to install, and much of that was because I had trouble finding the right wrench.

A malfunction light was intermittently flashing on my ABS
5/5

We had trouble finding anyone with a code scanner for this pre-OBDII vehicle, and it turned out there was no code, It had only been a couple of years since I changed the differential oil, so I cleaned off the front wheel sensors and rings and changed the differential oil, thinking it might have too much metal in it. Remove the old sensor first, and clean the area around it well before removing the old one, or the dirt will enter.
