Adapts well to your body. Keeping it flush against the roof of your car is made easier by the rubber piece on the bottom. As a replacement for my 3M tape roof visor, I used this product. I didn't finish it after a few minutes or so because it has clips that are a little tricky to place. I think this one is better-looking than the other without a brand. Keeping a low noise level while driving is what I like. The part fits on my 2004 Honda accord ex 4 door.
The WeatherTech products I have purchased over the years are all excellent. I have found them all to be The one I chose wasn't quite as good as the other. Even though the product is well made, there is no curvature to it once it is out of the box. Despite its curvature, my car roof has an undulating shape. In order for the deflector to seat properly on the roof, the Magiclips included with the product are designed to prevent the deflector from sliding when you install it. On the side, everything looks great, but there's a gap where the rubber meets the paint in the middle. Considering it is straight on the front part of the deflector, I believe this is the reason for it.
When you drive with the roof open, specifically "around town", you can talk with it. It works on a 2010 Honda Odyssey. I like the lower profile of the deflector compared to the factory deflector, which I found to be easy to install. We can all benefit from having a second pair of hands. The screws are too short, according to a lot of complaints. By not positioning the deflector near its final placement with the screw long enough, you will not have it positioned correctly. Once I got the screws in the right position, I didn't fear them anymore. Get the screws started then move the defector forward until all the clips have been installed so the roof can close fully. Be sure the rubber gasket/seal is flush (not rolled under) with the car before tightening the screw. The Tuesday, November 30th, 2017 update is As soon as the deflector exceeded 70 mph, it began vibrating. It did not seem to help to tighten it. It has been removed for over a year now. With my Honda CRV, I have an OEM deflector/visor with four fasteners, and it has never caused me any problems. Two are all that are found in this one.
Initially, I was deciding between getting the Honda OEM deflector and the Weather Tech alternative, however after reading the installation instructions and reading other reviews as well as the stellar reputation of Weather Tech, I decided to decide on Additionally, I believe most Weather Tech products are made in the United States, although this deflector says it is made in Germany. I found it extremely easy to put on Initially, it may seem like an awkward fit, but as you tighten it down (slowly), it will become absolutely perfect. The hat I put on all by myself was not especially complicated even though I'm not a very handy person. You only need to deal with two bolts. Provides immense benefits in regards to wind noise and instead of blowing the air into the cab, the air is blown over the vehicle. I love the look of it.
It is a good product, but if the holes that meet the screws weren't so large I would give it a 5. There were no errors in placing clips. As a result of the uneven drilling, I had to make my own clips and bend them into position to allow them to meet the holes, since the ones that came with it were too short. Other than that, it looks pretty solid and is very well made. So I guess I could have bought a cheaper wind deflector and been happy, or could I have waited? Without a doubt.
The weather tech visor I ordered for my Honda accord coupe arrived in excellent condition, and in a timely manner. There are only two things I don't like the screws are too small. Connecting the screw to the magnet clip caused me a great deal of frustration. It felt like too much pressure would cause some damage to the plastic visor, so I stopped driving. I finally gave up after 30 minutes of that and just spent some time digging through my closet in search of longer screws that actually fit, and I painted the screws with black fingernail polish so they would blend in In less than ten minutes, the installation was completed. It's still a great item event that I recommend a bit even though I had to improvise a bit.
A wind deflector with such a lovely appearance and finish really caught my eye. My 2005 Honda Accord EXL Coupe looked really good with it. Sadly, I later found out that this screen is only compatible with the sedan and does not work with the Clips attached to the roof are too short and don't reach all the way to the top. There was a big dissatisfaction on Amazon, where it said it would fit my vehicle, but I should have checked directly with Weathertech.
I ordered the same item in October of last year and returned it, it didn't fit correctly etc. I just ordered the same item through Amazon Prime, it arrived in a different box, it looked the same, it fit perfectly, I had it on in less than 20 minutes? Several people said the item did not fit properly in the reviews for the item I had to return. This makes me wonder how well the one I had to return fits. I am not certain who the current supplier is, but it worked well.
