Questions & Answers

Do these fit 2016 2500 crew cabs?

I have the same 2017 fronts as last year. The year 2016 will be no different. There is a constant falling off of the rear. The Weathertech warranty is not applicable if you purchase through Amazon, as Amazon is not an authorized retailer. This is not a place where I would buy them.

Are you sure that this item works with the 2017 model?

It is true that the body style has not changed and the pants fit well.

There is nothing wrong with the front
3/5

TAKE CARE OF THE REAR SHADES AND DO NOT WASTE TIME. A number of reviews were read before I made my purchase. Or, I am just inept if everyone else does not have my 2017 Ram 2500. Easy and fast installation the entire process took less than 20 minutes on four separate systems. If you are complaining about the adhesive used on the rear windows, here is what you should do While pushing towards the inside of the truck, I had plenty of room to slide these into the track. The adhesive was not in contact with anything thanks to this. As soon as the vent was set at the right height, I pulled the vent outward and set the adhesive. I rolled up the window as directed and the job was complete. I really like the way they look. It is also worth noting that these really hug the truck and are really narrow - probably about an inch - while the window is about 1. 4 inches wide. The rear vent shades have dropped off, twice, after 6 months. This is a major improvement over the old bubble vents. ****UPDATE 10/11/2017*** After 6 months, both rear vent shades have fallen off. This seller is not an authorized retailer and will not honor Weathertech's warranty and refuses to assist with a return or remedy. Weathertech sent new adhesive a month ago, but it didn't last this seller is not an authorized reseller, so they will not honor their warranty.

I am disappointed
3/5

I am disappointed more than a little A fan of WeatherTech, I have their products in all three vehicles I own (RAM, Journey, and ) all have matching floor mats laid out in their rooms. Though they let me down, these deflectors are good. However, the rear deflectors have a rather underdeveloped design. Although they are channel-shaped rather than fixed to the outer edge of the window frame, I appreciated their being channel-shaped rather than attached from the outside. I love the deflectors on the front. The top sections are mainly held in place by pressure from the front bottom section, which applies a lot of pressure. This is a very tight fit, and I am completely confident that they will stay in place. As for the rear deflectors, they are held in place by a tape strip. Tape like this is very strong, but the problem is that there has now been a "set time" for the tape, which means that it starts working as soon as it makes contact with anything. There is weather stripping in the window channel, which is a bummer because it would be great if there were no weather stripping. I had the same problem when I installed them in that the tap immediately stuck to the inner weather strip, preventing the deflector from being completely installed. After I rolled up the window, there was a crack and part of the wind deflector broke off as the window pushed up. I decided to learn from my mistake on the rear driver side, so I went to install the rear passenger side. However, even after learning from the rear driver side, I still wasn't able to fully install it, and when I rolled up the window, I noticed a Chipped deflectors were found on both sides. On this side, it's held in by hopes and dreams and isn't nearly as good as the driver side. With the window rolled down, both sides of the window dropped out, leaving only the front portion to hold the plastic in place. I keep the rear windows rolled up until I find a better option to replace them with, so as not to ruin the symmetry. In my opinion, the instructions are great for installing the deflectors on the front, but they are horrible (at best) for installing them on the rear. Here are the instructions for a sedan with a different rear window design (the channel weather strip isn't as prevalent on the rear window) and the only thing that is explicitly stated is that you should remove the tape cover before you install the window jamb enclosure. I recommend that WeatherTech use a tape that has a "set time" so that the deflector can be installed and the window can be rolled up after it has been installed. In cases where the window has been rolled up, the deflector can be held in place while the tape sets. A third option would be to use the same design as the from deflectors in which they run the entire front edge of the window, applying pressure all the way to the top, keeping them from falling. In summary, I really like the WeatherTech mats, but I am not interested in installing.

My love for the aesthetic is not matched by my love for Weathertech visors are exactly what I expected in terms of materials, design, and engineering when I purchased them for my 2016 RAM 1500 Crew Cab
4/5

A total of two out of three was my score. Their construction appears to be high quality, and they look terrific once installed. In spite of this, the front visors lock into position and fit perfectly as stated by others. I can't say the same for the rear visors. You must slide them into place, raise the window to seat them, and allow them to set for 24 hours before lowering it. Attaching them to the window is not difficult -- they come with thin strips of adhesive on both sides. My first rear visor popped off one end when I installed it, but there was not enough material missing that it could be seen. The adhesive, however, held onto the chipped portion and caused it to fold over and create a wedge that prevented the adhesive from setting, so it could not adhere properly. When I lowered the window two days later, I felt the visor fall out! As it happened, I discovered I had a thin roll of 3M double sided adhesive tape for automotive use (available from Amazon) and was able to quickly replace the tape and stick the visor in the right place.

We have learned from this experience
3/5

The WeatherTech products are generally good, but I had an issue with one rear visor falling out since the tips were broken and the adhesive was no longer enough to hold it in place. Lucky for me, it fell out on a parking lot and I was able to recover Since your product was purchased from this Amazon seller, we do not provide customer support for it directly. The seller said he would send me some adhesive that would bond the visor to my face.
To make a long story short, the seller agreed to refund all of my money. I did not want to take off any of the three from the vehicle since they were so perfect. My request for the adhesive was not answered after several weeks, so I had to contact WeatherTech again. After three phone calls, I received the sticky stuff, but I can't recall how long it took. There is much more adhesive on the exterior than recommended from the original installation instructions, so I am keeping my fingers crossed There is a lesson to be learned here It may cost a little more to buy directly from WeatherTech, but you will get better customer service if you do. I will definitely do that next time.
