This fit perfectly and snapped into place; the only difficult part was snapping the two center clips into place, which were a little more difficult. Overall, it has a solid and rigid feel to it. For each end, all you'll need is a push button clip.
I ordered this part for my 2008 1500 Chevy pickup truck and was pleasantly surprised to find that it fit perfectly and snapped right on. I was pleased with the packaging, which came in a large box and arrived on time.
Waste of 80$ Came in nice box in good shape, but when I opened it, it was all warped and twisted, so I added soap to all the clips and tried to put it together, but everywhere a tab was supposed to lock in just broke instead of locking on the truck, so it's now garbage and I'm out 80$.
It was a little difficult in some places, but if it goes on too smoothly, it may also come off too smoothly. When I first bought my truck, the lower valance was missing. I noticed a one-mpg improvement in fuel mileage after I installed it. A fantastic return on investment for something that enhances the appearance of the truck.
Overall, it's a good product. It is necessary to have some experience with vehicle maintenance and repair in order to complete the installation. Don't try it if you don't know how to use a tool or if you don't have the necessary tools. Start in the middle and work your way out to the left or right.
The old one was stolen, so this is the replacement; it fits just like the original, but is made of higher-quality plastic.
Chevrolet, on the other hand, is to blame for their blunder in design. Applying a small amount of soap to the tabs will aid in installation. Excellent product at a reasonable cost!.
It was a dead ringer for the GM one that came off my 2009 Silverado; in fact, it was so similar that I thought it was made by the same company. It went on without a hitch, but I had to take extra precautions because it was 39 degrees and I only had a wide flat blade screwdriver, a 10 mm socket, and a ratchet. There will be no issues.
