I find the price to be very reasonable and the installation to be very easy

This is a really cool device. Please watch this YouTube video (see below) on how to install a router. The majority of "How-to-" websites don't seem to have any answers The Tailgate did not have to be taken off the F-150, nor did the wiring on the vehicle need to be unplugged In the absence of anyone to assist me (and because I could not pull the left side of the tailgate out of its mounting point) taking the following steps was necessary Removing the tail light (on the right-hand side)
3) 2) Remove the right-side bumper (to the above-mentioned side)
3) Remove the tailgate from its mounting bracket
4) Place You may want to use a blanket or foam pad to protect the tailgate. *NOTE* If you have a helper, which I did not, they can help you hold the tailgate up while the next step is completed. Remove the old tailgate mounting bracket (right-side) In order to install the lower dampener mount bolt, screw it as far as possible on the opposite side of the truck mounting point first, then unscrew it to reinstall it on its proper side afterwards. The tailgate opens and closes smoothly and my wife is happy since the tailgate is quite high and heavy. Specor188 posts a video called "2017 Super Duty Tailgate dampener upgrade" on YouTube, and it gives a detailed explanation of how to upgrade the tailgate dampener. Thank you for your time and good luck.

It adds a great deal of functionality to my Crew Cab F250. Without any help, I was able to get this up and running without any problems. It can be difficult to get started on the ball stud that goes to the bottom inside the tail light opening. This piece of equipment does not have threads on the weld boss, which means the ball stud cuts the threads when it is screwed Make your life easier by installing the stud from the backside first. That way, you can access the stud's face with a wrench. Install it from the inside once you've run it all the way in. Remove and put it in again after the installation is complete. As long as the threads are already in there, it will turn right in.

It is an outstanding upgrade that is both functional and outstanding
5/5

I am pleased with the way that everything arrived. It took about 20 minutes to install, and if you have even the slightest knowledge of mechanics, you can figure it out. If you look for helpful videos on YouTube, they should answer all your questions and guide you easily through the process. I am going to share a bit of information. It is not necessary to disconnect the wiring harnesses under the left side of the truck that provide power to the tailgate. In addition, the tailgate does not need to be completely removed. - Just disconnect the cable, partially open the tailgate until you can remove the right end and lay it on the bumper by unfastening the cable on the right side. You'll need to be cautious not to swipe it away. This was not an issue at all. I believe others have mentioned, too, that when cutting the threads on the lower stud, starting at the left side and threading all of it in that direction is a good method. It is much easier to install from the right side if you remove the left side too.

This upgrade is very affordable. By opening the tailgate and letting it drop down without assistance, slowly and freely, you are free to store your cargo.

I love it! A couple of videos on how to install it and I was ready to use it right away

Although the tailgate didn't come off fully, I did not completely remove it. The only part of the tail gate I removed was the passenger-side portion. I placed the remainder of the gate on a blanket hanging from It took me about 20 minutes to install. It's straight to the point and pretty simple. The reviewer who suggested cutting the threads of the ball joint before installing it (toward the passenger side) also recommended cutting the threads. You can follow this advice and save time as well as get a killer forearm pump from it. There isn't much room for tools if you follow the directions and cut the threads that way. Or, to put it another way- Cutting threads with an open end wrench will save you the trouble of removing the socket and adding a ratchet on the other side. First cut the threads, remove the ball joint, then flip it around and reinstall it with the -

The bottom line is that this is an excellent upgrade that was very easy to install. This is a highly recommended book.

The 2019 Ford F250 is a perfect fit and performs perfectly

I appreciate the prompt delivery and well-packaging of the parts. In my case, I was glad to see the ball stud included in the box, as it is an item that some buyers have reported not receiving. As I painted it to match the color of my truck (Oxford white), I prepped and painted the thing on my truck. The ball stud was installed after the paint had cured for a few days. In order to avoid a messy installation, I chose to tap the existing threads in the body rather than forcing the ball stud to perform its own threading. By tapping the hole provided in the ball stud, I was able to easily install it. I also added a bit of medium strength thread lock to the stud. In order to add a second level of safety, I installed a nut on the exposed threads of the ball stud. The rest of the install went smoothly. I too did not remove the tailgate completely I simply removed the cable on the curbside, lifted the hinge, and laid the tailgate on top of an old flannel bed sheet laid out to cover the entire length of the Moreover, I was skeptical about the meager amount of alleged "Chinese fish grease" that was in the two mounting holes of the gas spring. In order to clean the sockets, I used q-tips In addition to lighter fluid and white automotive grease, I used a generous amount of tips and lighter fluid. The lower gas spring socket could only be popped onto the ball stud by using a wooden stick as a pry tool. Taking care not to damage the body of the aluminum can, I used the wood stick as leverage to finish.
