Installation is easy, but for those who use tape backing (good instructions, but you only have one shot at getting it to seat perfectly, you have to remove some of it). The adhesion is excellent, but installation could be easier because the tape backing has to be removed. It is therefore best to practice first before removing.

It looks like the second Bushwacker Tailgate cap I just returned to Amazon was defective

Amazon just received my return of the Bushwacker Tailgate cap. I returned the first one because it had been cut very jaggedly down the entire length of one side, and the replacement was also cut very jaggedly and crookedly! As you can see from the photo on the item page, the ends appear to be It looks like they've been chopped off from an extended piece of material when you see them in person.

It looks exactly as good in person as it does in the photos. I really like how easy this is A 1999 Toyota Ranger with a 6' styleside bed is available to me. It was necessary for me to cut a tiny bit of the inside lip. There is approximately a 1/8" difference. It did not seem that big of a deal to me. Once that was done, it was perfect. Besides the adhesive tape, it was also reinforced with some glue. We have not encountered any problems, and we like how it looks.
