I ordered these Westin Chrome Bed Rails because not only were they affordable but also of the high quality I have gotten from them in the past. They sent me an overnight replacement bolt for a brush guard that was missing a bolt, which was provided at no cost. I like how they are shaped, and they are very different from others because of the "oval" look they have. We were able to install it in less than 30 minutes through minimal light and in the pouring rain. You are sent two different-sized plates that fit in your stake hole according to how big it is. Oval Bed Rails look great on my truck and I am happy with both the fit and function. As soon as they arrived, my PROBLEM began. In addition to the mounting plate, there is a black plastic washer between the bed rail and the mounting plate. Since they come pre-assembled, you'll need to loosen the allen head bolts so that you can adjust them to make them fit your truck properly. You can expect anywhere from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch showing on the washer. I have now received one broken one! In another way, it's yet another thing that you can't find at a hardware store, since it's oval in shape. In the end, I contacted Westin Customer Service and explained the defect (could not have been damaged in shipment, these things come packaged extremely well) and asked if they could send me a replacement washer or if I could return the whole set to Amazon. During the course of the conversation, he acknowledged that he would get the washers for me, but he would need to get in touch with the Westin manufacturing plant to make sure he could get them since When I asked if he wanted to get back to me as soon as he had an answer, he replied that was fine with him. He got my name, my address, my phone number and my email address as well as the model number on the bed rails. After hearing nothing from them the following morning, I called again the following day. I gave them all my information again. This time they said they would handle it. But they didn't have a clue, not even when I spoke to the same guy from the day before. Waited three days before I called back to ask for tracking information. They had no idea what they were doing! As soon as I gave my info for the THIRD time. Following the phone call with "WORLD CLASS IDIOTS", at least I can call them that in the world of customer service. I visited the Westin website and sent a detailed email asking for the part I needed and for them to expedite delivery. 6 days later, they mailed it by regular mail and I had to wait another 3 days. A single time he did not call me or email me. I am sorry, I just don't have anything! YOU MUST BE AWARE THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! You can order Westin products from Amazon, open them up once they arrive, make sure none of them are damaged, and return them for a refund or exchange if any part of them is defective. It would have been nice if I had done that! I GIVE IT 3 STARS AS A RESULT OF THAT This product does not receive a 5-star rating.
My search ended with an item that met my needs at a reasonable price and was easy to install.
It took 20 minutes to install. My 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, Short Bed, looks great with these. The product was exactly what I was looking for, and the quality was excellent for the price. Highly recommended!.
