The flag pole I bought is 6 feet and 3/4 may fit over it
If bolted to the front of the bed, it can work.
If you drill it directly into the bed of the truck, it will work, but you will need to replace the sensor. Toyota has a bed rail that's built to fit their vehicles, but you can adapt it for your needs.

The pole fits my 2019 TRD Tacoma perfectly, and I love the design. As an added bonus, I bought the Merica flag and the 2 other items recommended to me before finalizing the purchase (T slot nuts). For the great events or American holidays that we celebrate, by truck has a patriotic flair. If and when I do, I will update this page with any new information regarding the bed rail that doesn't come factory installed on any Tacoma so that I can raise my flag from the center of my bed. It is also great that you can move the mount to any part of the rail you like. The flag pole I bought from The Home Depot has a spin so that the flag won't tangle. It is sold alone (flag not included with purchase) and it is sold alone. This pole fits perfectly in the hole created by The Cali Raised company. There is no way it could come out or break. Also, I might spray paint the pole matte black to make it fit my truck better and make the flag stand out.
I bought the middle rail from Toyota and now I'm super happy with how it turned out because the flag goes where it looks best, and I painted my pole like I said I would so now I'm super happy with how it looks. #PT278- PT278 Main rail part The 35100-number For $40, you can get a BH from a dealer. I am very pleased with the product. It is excellent and can be installed in just a few minutes. I am not sure if CaliRaised has changed anything since the reviews about the hardware not working, but it installed perfectly on my 2017 Tacoma with only the hardware provided. I did not need to purchase any additional hardware. The nut must be purchased.

Unlike cheap import items, this is guaranteed to last a lifetime. There are NO other mounting options since it can ONLY be mounted on the factory Therefore, if you intend to mount a rail along the front of the Taco, you will need to get the rail for the front. As a result, this mount will probably last longer than a truck LOL or most flag poles for that matter. As my new mount won't fold over or break, I'd like one that can carry the strain of driving and the wind and not just snap off to go with it.
