Apparently it's the same on a 2500 even with the factory cap. It goes down to 1500

It is not worth your time to research! The rail protectors are the best on the market

My 2011 GMC Sierra benefited from having these on! They are well made and fit like a glove! Although I have used Dee Zee bushwackers before and Wade brand models also, the Bushwackers claim to be superior products.
