It was easy to install and VERY reflective. I was a bit concerned at first since it didn't look like a glossy black product in the packaging. It's still true. I was very impressed with this product after applying it to my motorcycle helmet and removing the protective outer layer! I am conspicuous, though my helmet is already prominent due to its fluorescent green and black color. Adding a strip around the bottom edge made my visibility even more apparent. Both 1/4" and 1/2" of the reflective tape were purchased by me (I used the 1/4" on my helmet) and when the weather warms up I will be able to see my black KLR 650 much more clearly.
