You might be able to put this on the inside of the lens to make it darker when using white led bulbs that are too bright. ?

In fact, I have used it for a similar project. I just put the leds on the outside and it gives the light shade of red! I had new lights that had clear lenses and lights with leds, but I just put them on the outside. I don't think it's too dark because it hasn't darkened much.

Is it safe to paint the car with it?

When the paint is free of rust or chips, it should be safe to use. It is possible to cause flaking of the compromised paint by adhering over those areas.

This is now what you see, this is now what you don't see! I backed into a truck because I was so concerned about not backing into a group of people! My Astro lost one of its tail light covers because he did not leave the slightest scratch on the truck
5/5

It is so costly to replace them, and they are so big. I thought I would try this tape to cover them. Since I rarely drive, I haven't had a chance to use it until yesterday. It was shipped quickly and I've had it for weeks, but I rarely drive. OH MY GOD! It did such a good In the case that the tape peels off during a rain, I'll return to subtract stars from my rating, but if it is reasonably weatherproof, I give it five stars. It was obviously cracked and much of the plastic had been lost, but you'd need to look very closely if you were to recognize any signs of a breakage. The route I chose was a great decision. I am going to wait as long as possible to replace the cover, even though the packaging says to do so as soon as I have updated Since I applied this tape to my tail light, a little more than three months have passed. Seeing as we are constantly looking for ways to cut corners wherever possible in this day and age, I wanted to do an update. It is truly fantastic that there is such a quality repair tape for red tail lights. It was one of the best Amazon purchases I've ever made. In the tropics, the Astro is usually parked outside, and the rear faces the afternoon sun all day, every day. It has been soaked by massive rains and has seen rapid temperature changes recently, yet it looks like On the rear of a chevy Astro, the tail light is enormous, and one half of the light cracked on mine. The data is missing in large chunks. In spite of that, the tape makes it seem as though it's never been broken (unless you look closely), and there's probably enough to repair at least two more times. It is possible that I will never need to replace this light cover again. The price is just two dollars I still highly recommend it. I have updated Since I first used this tape on my broken xl chevy astro tail light almost two years ago, it has become a regular part of my life. Despite a bit of wastage, one roll was enough to do the light twice. I bought a second roll of tape for my back-up It has not been necessary for me to use it. Even though this tail light tape has not been protected from tropical sun rays and torrential rain, I found that the first job lasted a long time and the second seems to be holding up quite well. This almost didn't make the cut because it looked like one of those useless things As seen by- I watch too much television. A good start- They are the real deal. The truth is that this tape is most definitely the way to go if you need more than new tail lights.

The right use of this product can get the job done
5/5

This product has a lot of appeal to me. As of now, it's worked great for me. After three weeks of school, I managed to get a 3. This would remove dirt/moisture and prevent the crack from spreading. I have a 4 inch crack in my taillight and thought this would be a simple fix to keep it I was concerned about the adhesion strength and whether it would hold up to a curved section of my repair area after reading other reviews before I purchased it. In my case, I made sure the lens area was clean well before applying the film AND I "flexed" it overnight by first cutting it to the desired size and shape and then sticking each end between a pair of books on my bookshelf until the bow was achieved. My lens had begun to take on the shape of the piece after it had been cut by the next day. There was no difficulty applying it, it appeared to hold well, and there is no visible damage to the lens. I chose a red film because it perfectly matches the red of We have had it for about a month already, and there is no sign of it fading, cracking, or coming off. The bulb and electrical components of my taillight are protected by this cover, which is most important. If you apply the film to a curved surface, I suggest you take the time to clean up the area well and, most importantly, to obtain a degree of flex from the film. This is a highly recommended book.

The best way is to use it on a flat surface, not so good on small, curved surfaces
3/5

It was dumb of me to bump into my recycle bin and crack my Rather than spending $ 200 on replacing the Len + additional labor costs since we would have to take apart the trunk door, we decided to give this tape a try. Well, this tape has great tensile strength and a rigid feel. The rigid nature of the product means that it does not fit curved surfaces well. I can very well agree with other reviewers. Additionally, it is not easy to squeeze out air bubbles from a perfect fit. You can also see it quite clearly under bright lighting. As it turns out, since the side that was broken was quite narrow, this presents additional difficulties. While trying to get the curved side flat on the lens (I tried pre-production), I ran into some problems You may have to adjust it based on other reviews. Although there are bubbles still visible, they are not as numerous as before. It was also not fitted well on the underside. It is not always the tape's fault that there are bubbles. There is one thing that puzzles me, though, which is that my package arrived as if it had been returned. On the package there is a sticker that won't stick anymore, and there are also quite a few scratches on the tape. Also, the edges of the tape seem a little rough, they don't look like they were cut by a machine. This makes me believe the item was returned. Due to the non-stop rain we have had here and my urgent need for a repair, I decided to accept this and give it a shot. In the meantime, I'll follow up with you and hopefully make a decision whether to keep or return it after how all goes. The following update must be run one day later after installation *After putting it on for the first 4 or 5 hours, I went to inspect it and found it well fitted. It was well done in my opinion. I have suddenly made the decision to check on it 5 minutes ago, and I found the corner peeking out. In the gap there are tiny strands of adhesions that I can detect. As soon as I pushed it back in, I hoped it could be fixed, so I did not take a picture. It might hold for a while, but I really doubt it. This resulted in one star being taken away. As soon as it's on, I will take a picture and bring it back to 1star if I have to take it off, which I know would be painful. It depends on how you are using it - but if you are using it on curved surfaces, If not, this is a good way to fix flat surfaces.

The tail light is a lot cheaper than a new one
5/5

I got a golfing opportunity The ball My tail light has a hole the size of a dime on the corner. It took 10 minutes to install the device, and the cost was The problem has been resolved. It feels solid. We'll see how durable it is, but I'm surprised at how easy it was to install today. Considering that it has to be right on the 90 degree angle at the corner of my car, I was concerned about how well it may handle the curve. It was easy to apply and stayed in place, and (following the instructions) I merely bent it into that shape and held it for a minute before applying. My expectations were that it would be more flimsy and blend in with the background The patch was not immediately obvious when I was taking a picture. I had to think about it for a second, but I finally discovered which side it was on. For only $10, it's quite nice.
