My 98 GMC Sierra K 1500 works perfectly with this part. It is a little tedious to remove the old one and install this one, but once I got them out, and the new one in, everything works fine. There is a tilt steering wheel on my car. My cruise control, turn signals, headlights on and off, emergency flashers, and windshield wipers are all controlled by this unit. Although I had to remove the airbag and steering wheel, I was able to do it in the end. It took me three hours to complete this YouTube has many videos that were a pleasure to watch. It was mentioned in a few comments that some people had still encountered glitches in their multi switch after the replacement had been performed. After I disassembled according to the video, I reassembled, being sure that all wires in the wiring harness were properly connected and neatly held in place with zip ties to prevent any wires from being pinched or stretched when the tilt steering was As I stated earlier, after the battery is installed and reconnected, the system will power on. Everything works fine, and it looks fine, too.
(Should a problem arise in the future I will update this review to reflect the outcome of that problem.
I have been using it without any problems thus My only complaint is that the wipers don't come on right away when I use the old switch like they did with the old switch when I reach the first delay setting. The wipers last about a few seconds before they come on and do the first cycle, whatever the delay is set to be. In the old switch they were automatically turned on once you clicked it on one of the delay options. That isn't a huge deal, and since there is going to be much work involved, I won't start over from scratch. I'll be sure to update my review if I encounter any other issues in the near future.
I can tell these parts are original, as they function and feel.
When I get a day off, I'll see if it works. She was in great shape when she arrived. I have updated The left signal does not turn off by itself while the right one does.
The part looked as good as any other, and the price was better than any other.
It wasn't easy to install but once it was in place, the truck is running fine.
Switches like these are not worth your money. The two I have read so far are quite interesting. wipers were not connected correctly to the first one and the turn signal was not connected properly to the second one. Both rear lights will flash when you use your right turn signal.
