The new X3 has nowhere near enough room for switches, as everyone is discovering. A panel with 6 switches allows 3 to be contained within a space of 6. It took a bit of trimming with the dremmel, but the panel entirely covers over the roughness from the cutting. Despite having a metal housing, this panel looks very nice. I chose this cheaper alternative to a more expensive switch controller. As far as I am concerned, it is working well for me. At this price point I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the housing and the connectivity. A good feel can also be felt when clicking a button. Let's be clear, this will not be installed on the most conventional vehicle. In order to install it, I had to design a placement that took advantage of the available space. I originally bought a 20 dollar 6 gang box for a reasonable price. . . . which was fantastic, but I wasn't sure how much power I would be sending I have read that getting relays is the answer to all my problems. Unfortunately, setting up your own wires is very hard even if you do know what you are doing. Out of all the ones that I looked at on Amazon, this 6 gang from auxbeam was the best. It basically comes assembled and all you have to do is hook it up to your battery and to an ACC Plug in your lights to the box and run it through the firewall. As you can see, it is very sturdy and takes up little space! I found it to be well worth the price!.

This unit has overall been very satisfactory for me. It was running the cable to the control box (truck issue rather than Auxbeam issue) that proved to be the most difficult. A cable of that length should be more than adequate. The throttle body is mounted in the front of the engine compartment on my 2500HD. My steering wheel is where I ran the control wire to the box. When I saw the cable reach, I was shocked. The fact that it is powered by a 12 volt battery is great, since it only runs when the truck is running. So my headlights will not illuminate when the truck is off when I used the fuse adder and jumped the fuse, so I never have to worry about draining The illuminated buttons produce a clear glow, and the customized stickers are a great way to identify your switch. As well as auto dim, it works great! I use this with my Rigid light bar, and it works well. This is awesome! I can't wait to add more circuits to it.
