For a cheap truck, I bought this guy. The contact for the rheostat was fwumped when I removed the switch from the box. Only discovered after the return window had passed, but Amazon was quick to respond and issue a refund. Nuts. There is no longer any quality in aftermarket parts. From this location, OEM is available. You have been forewarned of this danger.

For my 1990 Ford F-150, this is a direct replacement. Lariat 250 XLT It's also a good idea to get the replacement harness because the original one is prone to being burned if the switch fails.

In my truck, the wires in the pigtail for the connector that connects to this piece all melted together, causing the switch to be damaged. I replaced this switch after repairing the harness/connector, and it's been working flawlessly since then.

The fit and alignment of the dash were excellent. It comes with a rod, but it will not lock into place. It was necessary to remove the rod from the old pulley and replace it with the new one.

After the dash panel was removed, it was simple to install. When removing the dash panel, be cautious because the plastic on these older models of trucks is brittle and easily cracks. The switch's quality wasn't as good as OEM's, but it was reasonably priced.
