It fit perfectly in my 2006 Tahoe and was installed in under 5 minutes. I am a sucker for quick solutions. My dash lights, radio lights, and other lights would dim, brighten, and dim on their own while driving, and I couldn't adjust them with the roller adjuster any longer. My cabin / overhead lights could no longer be turned on or off with the push button. It had no effect on my actual headlights, as far as I could tell. Everything has been restored to its former glory.

It works as well as the original, but it does not match the stock part exactly. If you don't want to spend a lot of money and time at the dealership to replace the same part, I would highly recommend this.

On the dash, I can't tell the difference between these and the OEM parts. I've been using it for a few months and haven't had any problems with it. The part is something I would recommend.

Snap the face of the dashboard cover off (you'll need to engage the parking brake and shift into gear while the vehicle is turned off but the ACC is turned on). Wiggle the switchbox back and forth until it turns off. Remove the green harness clip from the harness. Connect the harness to the new box and reassemble everything! It works perfectly and takes no more than 2 minutes to complete. It only takes three minutes!.

This switch is a great replacement if you don't want to pay the premium price of OEM. The back lighting is a little dimmer than factory, and the face is black vs. my original's charcoal grey.

This was purchased to resolve an intermittent issue with my 2006 Silverado's dash light dinner. It resolved the main issue. However, I have two issues. The backlighting is a different color (whiter) than the factory lighting, which is most likely due to the fact that the factory backlights are incandescent and this is LED. They could have done a better job with color matching, in my opinion. br>br>The feel of the headlight switch is the second gripe. When you twist the factory switch into different positions, it feels pretty smooth. This one becomes more difficult to control and "clicks" into place, which doesn't feel quite right. br>br>Because my problem was primarily with the internal electronics, I ended up removing the electronics from the new replacement switch and installing them in the factory light switch case. The feel problem was resolved, but the backlights were still mismatched. It's not a major problem, but it irritates me.

Exactly like OEM. It was incredibly simple to set up. This tiny baby was the solution to all of my woes. The truck had a dimmer switch that could be turned on and off when I bought it. The lights in the dash were sometimes visible, and other times they were completely dark. It might work if you tapped it or rolled it back and forth. However, as time passed, it became less and less effective. So I decided to look for a replacement part, and I came across a video demonstrating how simple it is to install them (it is EASY). When I checked Amazon, they had by far the best price. The part arrived quickly, looked EXACTLY like the original, and went in without a hitch (you'll want to watch a video on how to do this). On the internet, there are a plethora of options). This purchase has exceeded my expectations. My issue was completely resolved.
