It's simple to set up because it's plug and play. The only problem is that I was unaware that the light would be of a different hue. The switch I got is blue, while the factory is red. It's a good idea to include the color of the package you're getting. Nonetheless, this is a fantastic product.
Everything is in perfect working order in my 2020 Colorado. The knob, however, appears to be wobbly. I believe this is a genuine GM product, but it could have been rejected by quality control because of this, or it could have happened during shipping. In any case, I'm happy with the product because it fixed my broken stock switch.
It does what it's supposed to do and has taken the place of my old switch.
I needed this to connect fog lights, and this was exactly what I needed.
It was a lot less expensive than the dealer, and it was an EOM part that fit perfectly. Before he shipped to college, my son broke his lord knows what and needed to fix it.
It was used on a 2014 GMC Sierra.
For my 2015 GMC, I purchased this. Although the backlight is blue and the GMC is red, the fit and function are satisfactory.
