I started having issues with my blinkers 4 years ago. When they first started out, they would work most of the time, but then they would hardly work at all, but the hazard switch would still It is confusing, the mechanic told me that I would have to put a lot of time and effort into fixing the blinkers For a car that's older, this means costing a lot of money. It shouldn't take as much work as a friend of mine said, so I went online and looked it up, and now I'm so mad at myself for not doing so It seems that over 680,000 Grand Ams and similar models had the same issue, and if you had the "right" VIN number, you were included in the recall and it was free of charge. My experience was not the same. In any case, I bought the switch and had my "mechanic" install it. Is easy to do, is cheaper, and IS WORKING! In addition to complaints to GM, I filed complaints with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the U. S. department of transportation. DOT stands for Department of Transportation. I'm crossing my fingers that it works for a long time to come!.
A little disappointed in them.
They did not always do that. It was necessary for me to turn on and off the hazard lights to get them working temporarily. I replaced my original hazard switch with this and the problem went away!.
It failed within 30 days when I first tried to replace it with a Dorman replacement. The item was returned to you. As a result of my first order of a GM flasher switch from Amazon Warehouse Deals, I received a Dorman unit packaged My return was free and I was able to replace it with a real ACDelco. Having used the real ACDelco, it has worked flawlessly. It's best to get the real deal from ACDelco.
I've used it several times and it works perfectly. This new one was easy to install, and it's a lot quieter than the old one. Having grown accustomed to the loud click my old one made, I always keep an eye on it to make sure it's blinking.
I would turn on my turn signals and my blinkers would turn off and not come back on for many years. The whole thing could have been avoided if I had taken my car in for a recall on the blinkers. When I reminded my husband of the recall, he looked for the part to fix it and found that this was the one. On my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am with turn signals, this has been working since I put it in. I could have saved myself months and years of frustration if he had simply looked up how to install online . It took him only 20 minutes to install which would have saved me months.
It seems that my 2003 Grand Am no longer has a working turn signal. I learned that this part of the problem was the cause of my problem after I searched the internet. There's no explanation for why it controls the flashers and the turn signals, but it works. In response to a post I read that claimed the off brand did not work properly in the 2003 Grand Am, I decided to buy the more expensive ACDelco. This part may solve this issue for you if you are having the same problem.
It is an AC Delco product. It fits like an OEM part, without having to spend $81 at the.
