The headlight washers are NOT for this purpose! CLICK HERE FOR EXPLAINATION! The 2005 Trailblazer EXT does not have headlight doesn't have them, so that's why it says in the additional notes below the Amazon compatibility check that this switch is only for vehicles that have the light Override of Daytime Running Lights, automatic headlights, parking lights only, and headlights on and off are controlled with this switch

Also included are switches to turn off the fog lights, turn off the dome override, dim the dash lights, and turn off the dome lights. Having done extensive research before purchasing this, I found this to be the correct part as it crosses references I will summarize by saying that the additional notes are incorrect. Don't buy this switch if your headlight washers are on, since the correct one is not available! It is an exact fit replacement to the OEM switch as far as the switch itself is concerned. Among its advantages are that it fixes the broken factory switch that caused your headlight connector ends to melt. The OEM switch has a broken connection, causing the weakest link in the circuit to melt, which would be the connector ends. On my truck, the fuse SHOULD blow before that occurs but it doesn't, so I don't believe it should. If you are planning on upgrading your Trailblazer's low beam lights, it wouldn't hurt to buy a ceramic pigtail for the low beam headlights that is sold on Amazon. Please note If those ceramic ends do not fit your vehicle, Amazon's vehicle compatibility check will say "This does not fit your vehicle". The other pair fits perfectly fine, too. I put them in my own pair and I'm good. Look at the OEM sticker on the original headlight switch. It will read 10372952 rev001 BB4 & 5 & 0. We have a bar code number of It is indeed the direct replacement, if that is what yours states. It might help if you read this.
