My 70 Cutlass came with a bad switch, so I had to replace it. It disintegrated where the two pieces are pressed together in the first one I ordered. There will be a fine line between this one and the original. It would be great if I could extend the warranty 48 months before having to replace it.
The switch is a GM headlight dimmer switch and it works well. This switch probably falls into a couple hundred different cars (I used it During some projects on the car, my original one managed to disappear, so I picked up a new one for just a couple bucks. I connected it directly to the stock harness using a bolt that fit perfectly in the floor opening. There is a very audible and tactile click response from the switch it is solid and has good action.
Construction was so subpar, it snapped onto the middle click and I now have an exposed wire terminal at the bottom of my foot, which is not wonderful. I glued it back together, but now it won't click.
I have no problems with it. It would have been better if a socket had been.
The low beam got stuck after three clicks and then I had to restart.
It works very well at a very good price.
Don't compromise your safety with low-quality A total waste of time and money. As soon as I took it out of the package, it fell apart. It is not good for such a critically important part. If this were to happen in a vehicle, the headlights would not have worked.
Quite a bit of value for your money.
