It replaced my 81 F100 original that was stained on the backing, had a broken night flipper, and vibrated to hell. An attempt to stick auto parts adhesive to the first try failed. I could pop the glass off with no problem. glue that was like the one on TV and it is really That's a very clear image, and it really is nice to be able to see the room behind me now. Lube up the joints with WD40! These are way to tight, so just give it a light spray and you'll be fine.
In the 1997 Buick Regal, the original rear view mirror failed and was no longer a mirror due to a corroded coating. It didn't take long to install the replacement mirror after removing the old mirror from the windscreen mounting. With a flat blade screwdriver, I tightened the screw and it was good to go. In order to make the swivels move more freely, I applied some WD40 to them before mounting. I got the results I wanted. When I removed the old mirror I took the most time because I didn't want to put too much force on the windscreen in case it cracked, but to do this you need to use Generally speaking, this is a good, easy, inexpensive.
However, it is so hard that I cannot adjust it. It works fine for the mirror, though. It's a bummer that the adjustment isn't making any sense.
You can keep it where you put it as long as you don't adjust it, but if you do, you'll likely overshoot, having to spend more time finding the For us, that was not possible, and a new replacement is more than $100 dollars. In case you're wondering, it may be better to just get one from the junk yard. We will replace it with an OEM, at a later date.
It is too stiff to look at the mirror The adhesive had to be applied the appropriate way, and the button attached before I could attach the mirror - waiting a day was the proper thing to do. During the adjusting process the button was torn off the windshield about 4 days later. Despite replacing the adhesive, I managed to misplace the button before I received new adhesive information. There is also no information available about the size of buttons or how to replace them. So I guess I need to buy another mirror or change my existing solution to one provided by my competitor. In the event that I buy the same I will definitely liberally apply WD40br>

Cheap.
Bad engineering on an important part. There is no difference in quality between this mirror and the one it replaces. It is only the stiffness of the joints that is the problem. The part that mounts to the windshield is plastic, so no matter how much grease I put on it, it still binds up after stepping on it for a while. They made it so well, but they went cheap on the part that really matters!.
I got 10 out of 10 There is a 10 1/2-inch wide version for my Honda Civic, which seems more suitable than the 8 1/2-inch wide It includes a size of 1 inch. The product does its job, and does not have any frills. As part of the package, I received a mirror, a metal button, and a bracket for mounting the mirror. Some reviews have mentioned that the sockets for adjusting the arms are a little stiff, but not by To me, a tight fit is better than a loose one. The only complaint I have is that the kit did not include the liquid adhesive for mounting the button to the windshield, was required to purchase that separately (I believe it was Permatex brand), however it was relatively inexpensive at less than $5. We are extremely satisfied with the overall outcome.
I lied. This is another example of following fitment options for automotive parts on Amazon being a waste of time. I need a new rearview mirror for my project car. I decided to take a chance on this part because it supposedly fits. Considering how useless my money was, I could as well have thrown it away. I don't need this part since my car's rearview mirror is built into its roof trim, so this may work with a windshield mounted rearview mirror. I'm sorry, Amazon, but your system is down. Perhaps better pictures of the item would have saved me from wasting my time. I am now returning it. I found the mirror itself to be of good quality. The option for adhesion does not exist.
I love this mirror, its not fancy and looks like it came out of As compared to my OEM side mirrors, it seems to have a polarized finish to it so that the reflection is clearly visible and has a reduced amount of glare. Although the mirror joints are stiff and difficult to adjust, I sprayed some silicone in the ball joints and manipulated the joints until they became flexible and adjusted fine.
In the questions section one person stated the windshield button isn't included, It is necessary to purchase adhesive for you to attach the button to the windshield so the mirror can be hung.
