Everything went off without a hitch! br>Here are the things you'll require: a set of screwdrivers T15 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T25 T br>2) Disconnect the power supply - There's a press-in latch on the bottom. br>3) take out one T15 screwbr>4) take out the broken unit br>5) Use the small flat head screwdriver to loosen the wire attachment device (be careful not to break it). 6) Take out three T25 screws. 7) Replace the electronic component in the new unit. 8) Screw the three T25 screws in place. 9) re- re- re- re- re- re- re- re 10) Attach the new unit to the side of the seat with the wire attachment device. br>11) put the T15 screw in. br>12) secure the wire with two zip ties. br>13) connect the wire to the power source.

Even though the product page on Amazon said it wouldn't fit my 2012 Volvo Xc90, it does. There are no instructions for installation, but it's fairly self-explanatory, and I'm sure YouTube videos exist. It took me about 20 minutes to install and another ten minutes to correct the errors I made the first time, but it saved me a lot of money.

The processing and shipping were both quick. br>br>Remove one T-screw (size T-screw size T-screw size T-screw size T-screw size T-screw size T-scre 15 from the forward end), unplug one of the electrical connectors, rotate the forward end upwards, pop the back end out of the round metal piece, and remove the assembly. Then take out three more T-screws (larger size T-screws). 25) on the backside of the seat's control switches. By bending back the metal teeth of a plastic clip holding the wires, you can undo it. To remove the control panel, simply slide it upwards. Rep the procedure in reverse order. It took about ten minutes for me to complete this task. If you don't have the right size torx tools, a small skinny flathead screwdriver "might" work.
Volvos are a unique breed, and finding replacement parts, particularly for older models, can be difficult. The seat trim panel turned up on Amazon, which surprised me. The price was reasonable, and the installation went much more smoothly than I had anticipated. It's a perfect fit and performs admirably. Amazon is to be thanked.
