We glued down my installation, which was on a boat. To prevent wrinkles and movement in the carpet, I believe you should glue it down.

Great marine carpet, this is a 17ft aluminum craft boat, I ordered 20ft of material and it was just enough to wrap my bunks on my trailer, will need a good razer knife, kit comes with one but it's cheap, I had to order another bucket of glue to finish the boat, I did the front and back decks, the floor, and all hatches, looks great and feels great, hooks don't get stuck, and I will order again if I ever have another boat.
It even has my footprints on it! br>I bought it to replace the carpet in my Triton, which was 20 years old. My carpet arrived in perfect condition (the roll was not folded or bent), unlike some of the other reviews I read. This is a product that I strongly suggest.
I haven't installed the carpet yet because it is so wrinkled, but it appears to be of good quality and "cushy. " We left it out in the sun for three days, and while it has improved slightly, it is still wrinkled. Also, I was in a rush to get this and didn't order a swatch to see how the color looked. I was overconfident because I had previously been successful in color matching the paint color I had purchased. The color isn't quite right in comparison to the photo- It's a lot darker now. It's my fault for not ordering a sample first; it'll work, but it's not what I'm looking for. Again, it's my fault; there were also no blades for my free carpet cutter, despite the fact that I think I'll need a heavier cutter than the plastic-free one. When I install the carpet, I'll report back on whether or not I was able to remove the wrinkles.
This carpet was used as part of a restoration project on my 1999 Tracker V- It was released at the age of eighteen, and it was a huge hit. When the carpet was delivered, it was wrinkled, so you'll need to use a carpet roller to smooth it out. There are dozens of videos on YouTube that will show you how to put carpet down; it is not a difficult task. This is the first time I've ever put carpet in a room, and I've gotten a lot of compliments because no one can tell if it was done professionally or not. It will all work out if you take your time and do your research.
It was a little scuffed and torn when it arrived, but the carpet itself was in good shape. When I opened the package, I noticed that there was no "included:" label. "Knife and blades for cleaning carpets. " This wasn't a big deal for me because I already had a lot of utility knives, but I'd have to deduct a star because it didn't come with everything that was advertised. To re-do my boat, I ordered an 8x30' roll. I was about 24 square feet short, so I'll have to order another smaller roll. Overall, the carpet appears to be of good quality and durability. I would strongly advise anyone who is on the fence about purchasing it to do so. ***Vendor: Please include the knife and blades with my next order so that I can update my review and give everything a 5-star rating. stars!.
I bought a 2002 Sanger V230 and installed myself in it. The previous carpet had a paper-like texture to it. If there was a vinyl backing on it before, it had worn off. The new carpet has a luxurious feel to it and is extremely comfortable to walk on. The first time I went out on the lake with the new carpet, I couldn't even feel the water. It doesn't appear that the carpet gets wet. If you're considering doing a carpet remodel on your own, I would recommend. However, ripping it all out and starting over was a pain in the buttocks. If you have the financial means to hire someone to do it for you, go for it.
The carpet is of excellent quality. Our 1996 Nitro Savage had always been garage kept since new, had been heavily used for the majority of its life, and was beginning to show her age. She felt brand new again after a new carpet and seats were installed. It's not an easy job by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a road worth taking.
For my 17' x 30' room, I chose Charcoal, 8' x 30'. Pro Team 175 TXW 5ft long Bass Tracker br>br>Easy to use and appears to be on par with the original.
