This part was needed because the handle on my console was broken and the leather was beginning to pull away from the frame. It takes a 20-star screw and a Phillips head. The old compartments are to be removed, then the new ones are popped on and nutted on. I found the fit to be good, the latch worked and no tears were observed. I'm with you!.

There is more to it than meets the eye

Though no instructions were included with the lid, after looking at it and comparing it to my existing lid, I thought it appeared to be straightforward. I installed the new lid and secured it with the old screws until I noticed the lid would not latch after I had closed it and secured it with the old screws (no screws included). As a result, the screws could not close on the new lid because it has a gap too large. There is a gap between the lid and the frame which prevents it from latching. I was disappointed. This is not something I would recommend. Try the dealer instead and avoid the stress and sweat.

However, when installing the factory backing, the new screw hole in the new lid broke, making it impossible to screw it in. After reaching out to the seller, I found out that at the moment, they are very serious about making things right, and their customer support is excellent on Facebook! I have waited over a week to hear back and have messaged the support team on Facebook six times in three days and no one responded. Due to their failure to follow up with their so-called warranty, I am forced to change my review to not good. The prompting seemed to be just because they asked me for a good review at first.

I need to find the missing This is the Chevy Tahoe center console lid that I ordered

The console was missing the plastic insert used to house hand items inside the console. A screw needs something to attach to when it is supposed to attach to nothing. On this piece, the spaces for the screws are not threaded, so there is no solid surface on which to grip the screw. Screws can therefore fall out because of this.

Good product and good customer service, the latch is included in the package so you do not have to order separately, the first latch came in broken, but they shipped a replacement as soon as possible
